Muriel Duncan (formerly of Whitechurch) was .the
• guest speaker. Muriel, a journalism graduate from the
University of Western Ontario, is the editor .of the
United Church Qbserver.'She started at the Observer in
1974 and was named editor in 1992. Muriel was award-
ed the Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from the
United Theological. College in Montreal in 1994: • •
Don and Jean .Ross attended the surprise 40th wed-
ding anniversary party for Ross and. Bev Hayden, of
Wingham, on. Sunday. It was herd in Myth at the home
of Joanne McDonald, Bev's sister, • .

home of Agnes Farrier, enjoying dessert prior to the
meeting.
