The Lucknow Sentinel, 1997-05-14, Page 7Soundsation plans to take you back to high school days It's Soundsation showtime again! Yes, Soundsation's annual spring show is just around the corner -. May 3Q and 31. The mufti-talentedshow group •of 80 plus voices and 12 member stage band is ready to wow you again this year with High School Reunion. This year's 'repertoire will take you back through different eras. You'll relish Soundsation's performance of songs from Grease, Mr. Holland's Opus, and some doo wop'numbers. • Under the direction of Byron Ballagh, members practice every Sunday evening to prepare for this ;yearly concert. Soundsation began as an 'ember, left after the fire of the Teeswater old. Boys' reunion choir' in 1989, and continues, to be based there although the group boasts some of the best talent in four counties. The group achieves 'music in motion' thanks to choreographer Erin Howard, of Mississauga. Her expertise adds pep and energy to the show: • .This year's MC is Phil Main, of FM 102 fame.
