Presbyterial theme

The Bruce Presbyterial
UCW met recently in
Palmerston United
Church. We opened with a
circle of prayer, as we
worshiped , together on the
35th. Anniversary theme,
"Rejoice and Risk."
As this was an organi-
zational meeting; divisions
began making plans for
the upcoming meetings.

UCW are holding a spe-
cial, 35th Anniversary'
event, on Saturday,. June
14, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at
the Grace Untied Church
in Hanover. All women of
the Presbyterial are urged
to attend.

sion, Debbie Voll and Judy
Burns of the Palmerston
Church shared with usthe
message of hope for the
Children of Chernobyl:.
In 1989 a group 'of
teachers organized the
Canadian Relief Fund for.
children in Bellaruse, The
Palmerston Church has,!
participated in the .pro
gram which provides: the
Chernobyl children, ages 8
14, with opportunities to
live ina different cultural
atmosphere, on a short
term basis, giving them
some relief from the radia

The ladies are planning
a 100th year celebration
by having a euchre party
in May with other branch-
