The Canadian Cancer Society is• a nationai,'com munity-based organization, of volunteers, whose mis- sion ' .is the eradicationof cancer and the enhance- ment of the .quality of life of people living with .can- cer. Volunteers provide;: many programs such as peer supped- to people liv- ing with cancer, practical support such as transporta- tion and a variety of health promotion programs as well as raise funds .to maintain these -services and support cancer research. These volunteers, are the Canadian Cancer Society, whether they •faithfully. canvass ,year after year, hold executive positions on the boar of' April `tests'. for April is indeed the cm ;elest month, especially for Canadian golfers.
