Golf .Notes
by C.A. Doig
remember where they
were the . day Tiger won
his first' major.
The Masters has always
been a signal .to, Canadian
golfers that the golf season
is ' about to begin • in
earnest. From Winnipeg to
,Windsor, Prince' Rupert to
Prince Edward Isl'and,.
Canadians are hauling the
clubs out of the basement
and heading to their local
'course. They are a hardy
loot. these Canadian golfers..,
They have to be. They,,
pursuegolf in a country
where most of the months
are cold and cruel;:: In a
country where the Easter.
