Thankoffering on April 9 in the church; President Norma Raynard welcomed everyone and opened . with a. poem "Just This Minute." . Shirley. Hawthorne and Alice Taylor led in. the Easter worship service from the Glad• Tidings.representing the .wife, of Joseph of Ariinathea and Mar Magdalene. The devo- tions closed with the singing of `The Strife, in O'er, the "Battle Won" and prayer in unison. Eileen .Chambers; of Ripley,was the guest speaker for the day, bringing an Easter message, She reviewed different -people that were present at the time of Jesus' trial and cnicifixion; such as the disciples Judas, Peter; the- women and their actions then and the change in each ` as they - encountered the risen Christ. Mrs. Chambers" thenchallenged each one with what _Easter means torus and is there a change in our everyday lives.
