Joined the members.of the Lucknow Presbyterian WMS.
:for their Easter. Thankoffering on April 9 in the church;
President Norma Raynard welcomed everyone and
opened . with a. poem "Just This Minute." . Shirley.
Hawthorne and Alice Taylor led in. the Easter worship
service from the Glad• Tidings.representing the .wife, of
Joseph of Ariinathea and Mar Magdalene. The devo-
tions closed with the singing of `The Strife, in O'er, the
"Battle Won" and prayer in unison.
Eileen .Chambers; of Ripley,was the guest speaker
for the day, bringing an Easter message, She reviewed
different -people that were present at the time of Jesus'
trial and cnicifixion; such as the disciples Judas, Peter;
the- women and their actions then and the change in
each ` as they - encountered the risen Christ. Mrs.
Chambers" thenchallenged each one with what _Easter
means torus and is there a change in our everyday lives.
Shecoricluded vt'ith everyone joining together_ to sing
"Will You Come and Follow Me."
. Special music for the meeting was supplied by
Donalda Moffat and 'her.sisterJean.Conley.playing two
different medleys on the piano and guitar.
The closing .hymn vas Let Your.Light.So Shine and
following prayer by Norma everyone gathered around
the tables for ,a time of fellowship.
