Tiverton Mall charged
with child pornography

Kincardine OPP have
• charged a Tiverton man
with possession and distri-
bution of child pornogra-
phy.
Police lithe charges
as the result of an Internet
child pornography investi- •
gation conducted by the
Project P (OPP pornogra-
phy crime unit).
Over 3,000 electronic
files containing child
pornography images were
• seized Thursday, April 10,
as•well as a number of
• computers and related
electronic equipment.
Total value was $25,000.
•Charged. with two
•counts of distributing
child pornography and
two' counts of possession
of child pornography was
Daniel Thomson, 33, of
Tiverton.

locate suspected child
pornography on the
Internet. The Tiverton
case is the first instance,
locally, involving an
accused person using the
Internet for alleged child,
pornography crimes. ,
Thomson was released
from custody on bail and
will appear in Walkerton
Provincial Court June 16.
• Open liquor charges
• OPP have charged two
young offenders, a male
and a female, with posses-
sion of open liquor, after a
vehicle was stopped on
Campbell Street,
Lucknow, at 11:55 p„rn.
