The purpose of this publicmeeting is,for.Ootindl to receive public.comments on the draft bylaw, ` '• The proposed by-law would require: a Nutrient Management Plan for new or. expanding livestock operations with 100 or more livestock units, or with 50 or more livestock units ort a land base.exceeding 1.5 livestock units per tillable acre; • " , • a signed agreement to ensure the implementation.of the" Nutrient. Management Plan and the, updating and renewal of the Nutrient Management Planevery 3:years; •' a tillable land base for spreading' manure which• will not .beasrnalter than an area equivalent to 1.5 .livestock units per. acre on clay and clay loam soils, or 1 livestock Unit per acre On other soils; where the Nutrient Management -Plan requires a larger land base, such larger land base shall be required;. • • the Land base to be located within 4 km. 011ie livestock operation; • at least 60% of the land base to be owned; the remaining land base to be .made available by manure agreements:, ,: • • 365 day storage capacity for all liquid manure facilities; • dry manure storages to comply with the Nutrient Management Plan and land base requirements; , r • the sting of alt manure facilities in compliance with the provincial Minimum.
