Township ,council will
investigate what can be
done to rectify a situation
of damaged barn doors.
The doors of .a barn
owned by township resi-
dent's Hank and 'Josef
Schotrnan were damaged;
by township plows•during
winter road maintenance,
It was noted, however, that
the plow never, actually
came into contact with the
doors, Council also dis-
cussed the close proximity
of the barn to the road.
Township switches to
Sprint Canada
The township isn't one
of the customers Bell
Canada has been bragging
about on television. The
municipality has decided
to switch from Bell -to
arn:oors
Sprint Canada in hopes of
saving money.
,`Clerk Liliane Nolan
estimates a savings of a
couple hundred dollars a
year will. be realized with,
the new communications
server.
New dog
control officer
Rick Patterson of
Dungannon has been hired
as the 'township's new 'dog
control officer,
Patterson replaces
Wayne Forrester .who
resigned from the position
last year,
• Council takes..no .
action
Resident Ron , ' Enns
questioned the necessity of
the township to apply, for a
minor variance for a
neighboring trailer.
Enns felt his neighbor's
trailer was• too close to a
water course and therefore
a . variance should be
applied for.
Chief Building Official
Karl MacNaughton told
council the water in fron
of the property ' is a
drainage ditch, not a wate
course. Council said n
action would be taken on
the matter.
Lawyer to determine
title on land ' . .
Council will be iristrut-
ing its: solicitor to t
action to secure the title on
a'section -of land near the
landfill. , •
The area in question is
the existing old boundary
fence .9n the west and
south sides of the landfill..
