used for routine barn
clean-up. These machines are
frequently housed and operated
indoors,, to avoid winter freeze-
up of the pump and lines.
Indoor use of gas -powered
washers puts lives •at risk. All
gasoline engines produce' car-
bon monoxide (CO), This gas
can build "up rapidly in any
indoor area, and individuals can
be overcome without even real- •
izing they are being exposed; •
CO strikes quickly, and with-

vides no sign of its presence.

LL Jobs can last minutes; or
days depending on the number
of cattle loose. But Holm' never
quits until he's got them all.
'We guarantee results. If we
don't catch them, it doesn't
cost anything."
Holm first wanted the dogs
to catch his own loose cattle:
He'd never heard of the yellow
black mouth .curr' but knew
there must be some way to
breed . a dog that could do the
job.
"He used to . dream about
, these dogs before he got them,"

For 10 years, Hol.nt has
worked ,with the dogs. With
each new litter, comes the
potential for another Jack, but
so far no dog matches his .'tal-
ent.
There's little work to train-
ing the dogs as the instinct
seems to be bred in them,
• "It has to be natural because
I can't teach them; The dog
knows more than f do." •
for Holm, the work allows
him to train his quarter hoises

their various :hiding' placers:
Pouring a little water into a

the houses brought into the
