The Lucknow Sentinel, 1983-12-14, Page 55community news Children present Christmas concert By Ruth Buchmeler Sunday was the annual Sunday School Christmas concert at South Kinloss Presby- terian Church. At one o'clock a pot luck dinner was enjoyed. Sharon MacDougall, the Sunday School superintendent, in her very capable manner, chaired the concert. All the children participated with recitations, plays and choirs. Then Santa came to give the children their gifts and a bag of candy. It was a very good afternoon. The community extends its sympathy to the family of the late Alex MacKenzie of Wingham, who died in his 99th year. Mr. MacKenzie was a native of Kinloss. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Morrison and Kyle of Sudbury are holidaying here with Betty's family, Currie Colwell. Dr. and Mrs. Bill Buckton, George and David spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Herb Buckton and Mr. and Mrs. John Mowbray and Duncan. They held their Christmas dinner on Saturday at the home of Herb and Mary. At this time I wish every one a Merry Christmas. May it be a safe holiday as we travel to be with our families.
