Midgets win one, lose one
By George Gibson
After this week's activities, the Midgets
remain a 500 curb with a lass to Teeswatet
and a win over MiltfLnay.
In Teeswater last Tuesday, the game
started in Lucknow's favour and except for a
series of defensive lapses that allowed three
goals against in a space of 71 seconds, the
team earned a better fate.
Dan Gilchrist opened the scoring at 9.58
on a pass from Ritchie but Teeswatet came
back with two and closed the period with a 2
- 1 lead, Tadd Ritchie tied the score early in
the second on a solo effort that started
beside the Lucknoww net and ended in a clean
break on net,
Disaster struck about the mid -point of the
second period when Teeswatet quickly
stuffed in three goads and although the
Lucknow boys chipped away al the lead, they
were unable to come out of the hole, Dan
Gilchrist narrowed the margin late in the
second peetod on a play from G, Murray and
Shepherd.
In third period action, Gilchrist completed
his hat trick with the only goal of the period
when he finished a power play started by G,
Murray, Final score Teeswatet 5, Lucknow

M home on Monday, the team skated to a
5 - 2 win oder Mildmay, In sharp contrast to
the Teeswatet game, this game was Slowed
to a snail's pace by many minor penalties
especially late in the game.
Tom Gilmore was the scoring star when he
finally ended a three game drought with a
hat trick. Between the pipes, Rill Card came
up with some game saving stops in his two
periods of action and bean Lindsay slammed
the door in the third.
In his best game since being voted team
captain, Grant Muttay decided to avoid the
get even philosophy and touched them in the
scoreboard instead, when he completed the
scoring with a shift at the blue line that let
him in all alone. He made a classy move that
hung the goalie out to dry,
The score sheet read: Tom Gilmore,
unassisted; Dan Gilchrist from G, Murray
and Irwin; Tam Gilmore from West Tom

unassisted, Final score, Lucknow 5, Mild-
