Former Kinlough resident seriously injured in car accident

Relatives and friends here are sorry to
hear that Mrs. Ted Evans (Karen Nicholson)
was in a serious car accident on Friday,
November 25. She was driving alone on the
highway when her car went out of control
and swerved into a steel standard throwing
her to the opposite side of her car leaving her
unconscious. The car was demolished and
firemen came and cut the car door to free
her. She was rushed to Georgetown Hospital
:rid on to Western Hospital, Toronto (room
',OW, Her family have been with her and on
Wednesday her parents, Mr, and Mrs, Bert
Nicholson and Lois went to Toronto to be
with her, We send our get well wishes,

Friends and neighbours from Holyrood
and concession S made a trip to W iarton
(Gateway Haden) where Marion Harris has
been a resident for the pass year to present
her with farewell gift from her much loved
neighbourhood, Triose who went were Mrs,
Elwood Elliott, Mrs, Cliff Johnston, Mrs,
Lorne Eadie and Mrs. Ina Eadie.

Wayne Rhody was in Kincardine Hospital
for further medical care,
Dan Nicholson is spending some time with
Mr. and Mrs. don Gillespie.
Mt, and Mrs. Harold Slessor spent friday
evening with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson
and Laic.
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gillespie spent last
weekend at Neva' Hamburg with Mr. and
Mrs. John Bushell and family.

The family of the late Mr. and Mrs, P. A.
Murray held their annual Christmas get
together at the Holyrood hall on Saturday.

Restaurant for their annual Christmas
dinner.
The president Mrs. Charles Muttay
welcomed everyone. Following the dinner,
the treasurer: Mrs. William MacPherson:

Memorial Childten's Hospital in London;
Nutrition Canada; Wingham and D.sttict
bay CCentte for the Homebound; local fire
victims; the Lueknow School Band for
uniforms.
It was decided to dispense with the card
parties for this winter at Holyrood hail.
Thank you letters were read from Mrs.
Rayne(' Ackert and the family of Mts.
Dunlop. Cards were signed for sick and shut
The D'ireetot, Mrs. Gerald Murray con-
ducted a setambled letter C'htistmas contest,
the v, inner being Agnes Hodgins. A lucky
prise was won by Mts. Ptank Matilden. The
travelling package winner was Mts. Ellwood
Elliott.
Some sutprises were tevealed when each
member opened her Sunshine Sister gift and
the draw was made for the new Sunshine
Sisters.
Gifts to shutins will be packed and sent
before Christmas.
The president reminded everyone of the
tog making coutse in the new year, and a
quilt is to be trade for Participation Lodge.
