welfare, Mrs, Charlie Davies; social func-
tions, Mrs. Rill Rogues and Mrs, Cliff
Crawford; Christian education, Mrs, Warren
McDougall; flowers, Mrs, Armstrong Wil-
son, Mrs, George Joynt,
Mrs. Rogues expressed her appreciation
for assistance during her two years ag
leader, and closed with a poem,

St. Helens institute meet
The Christmas meeting of St, Helens
Women's Institute was held on Thursday,
December 1. To start the meeting, eleven
members and three guests enjoyed dessert,
prepared by Mrs, John Stratton and Mrg,
Ivan Clark,
During the Maines§ session, a letter of
thanks from the Arthritis Society, was .read,
It was de ided to send a donation to the Day
Centre for the Homebound in Winghant,
Members also brought in knitted articles to
be sent to Family and Children"s Servieees, in
time for Christmas, It was decided to send a
Christmas parcel to as needy family,
Nogalene Barger gave a most interesting
demonstration on making arrange t§ and
wreaath§ from pine cones" aatorng, nuts, dried
milk weed pods, etc,
Mrs, Jinn Aitchison sondueied a Christmas
quiz and gave a reaading entitled, Christmas
can be a peaceful time of year,
