Marretta Hodgins and Phoebe Stanley moved to Lucknow where they will spend the winter months. They were dinner guests with Edna and May Boyle on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. John Riinrnelzwaan and family were supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson and Lois on Monday evening. We were sorry about the fire on conces- sion 10 which destroyed the house on the farm owned by Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Murray where Mr. and Mrs. Cyan Mclnnis and family lived before moving to Myth. The blaze broke out in the early morning. The Lucknow Fire Department answered the call but were unable to save the burning structure. On Saturday the debris and ruins were cleated up. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson and Lois were recent visitors with Mrs. Lenoys Cuyler at Millarton. Mrs. Frank Maulden and Edna and May Boyle spent Tuesday afternoon with Mary MacGillivray at Lueckning and also called at the funeral home to pay their respects to the family of the late Ada McLeod. Mrs. Wilbert (Grace) Hodgkinson df Wingham and form- erly of here is her daughter. Mrs. Ed Green of St. Helens spent an afternoon with Fdna and May Boyle. Soli& Kinloss newer Mrs. Harvey McQuillin from St. Cathar- ines visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Dick McQuillin and Ron. Ken Henry from Parry Sound called in on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Sutton of Teeswater. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Percy and Mr. and Mrs. John Hodgins were dinner guests on Friday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hodgins. Mr. and Mts. Harvey Thompson of Purple Grove and Susan MacGregor of Toronto visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Percy Wednesday for supper. Congratulations to Wayne and Susan Percy of Edmonton on the arrival of their baby boy, Alex Arnold. He weighed 1'/, pounds. Walter Breckles returned home on Friday from University Hospital, London where he had been a patient for some time. Mrs. freckles and her daughter, Laura, Mrs. Dong Dahmer, went for him. Mt. and Mrs. Kurt Nielsen and Matthew Of Braeebridge spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell. Kurt returned home, but Janet and Matthew stayed for a longer visit. Some from here paid their respects or attended the funeral of the late Mrs. Ralph (Maria) Hill who passed away after a lengthy time of care at the Brucelea Haven, Walkerton. The funeral was at the MacKen- zie and McCreath Funeral Home at Lucknow on Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bertrand and family of Simcoe spent the weekend with W nnifred, Bill and Brian Percy. Ladies from here were dinner guests en Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morley Bushell at W"mghann. Margaret Bushell of Goderich was home for the gathering.
