Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Kinahan, R. 2, Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gibson, Gorrie. Rev, Gordon Kennedy, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony assisted by Father Frank Dentinger, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 1983. Wingham's Sacred Heart Folk Choir provided choir music and the soloist was a friend of the bridal couple, Lynn Richardson. Maid of honour was Connie Jamieson of Wingham and Julie Chester and Trudy Leitch, both of Wingham and Joan Irwin of London, all friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. Marianne Moylan of St. Columban, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Jim McBurney of R. 1, Wingham was groomsman and guests were ushered by Doug Gibson, Orangeville and Chuck Gibson of Kitchener, brothers of the groom and Gordon Kinahan, London, brother of the bride. A reception followed at Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre. The couple is residing at 166 Appalachian Crescent in Kitchener. The bride is a graduate of Lambton College, Sarnia in Early Childhood Education and is a supervisor at St. Andrew's Day Care Centre, Kitchener. The groom is a graduate in agriculture from the university of Guelph and is employed with the Ministry of Natural Resources in Cambridge. Out of town guests were in attendance from Listowel, London, Kitchener, Stouffville, Seaforth, Stratford, Kincardine, Toronto, Hanover, Brama- • lea, Royal Oak, Michigan, Harriston, Leamington, Shelburne and Aylmer. Once people understand what is to be done and why, they tend to line behind the project, It might be asked why it has taken so long for the board to wake up to the fact of its increasing isolation from the public it represents. It certainly was no secret to any reasonably keen observer that over the years the sense a community ownership and support for the hospital had softened. Some of that was inevitable when the province took over the funding of hospitals, and with it much of the feeling of local responsibility and control. Some can be traced to decisions by the board or administration in the past which were inadequately justified or explain- ed. Whatever the causes in the past, what is N more important now is the new initiative being shown in taking the hospital back to the community, and the willingness of both sides to resolve past differences. The result should be a renewal of public confidence in a community hospital which has served us well in the past and promises to serve us even better in the future. —The Wingham Advance -Times 1 Notice Change in Hydro Rates SUBJECT TO APPROVAL OF ONTARIO HYDRO DUE TO THE HIGHER COST OF PROVIDING SERVICE, LUCKNOW HYDRO SYSTEM finds it necessary to increases retail rates on ad energy used on and after January 1, 1984.
