Ripley man visiting home town in Denmark...

Again transferring, he flew to Aarhus and
then by bus to Randers and to Asferg, his
home town in Denmark.
Niels will visit there for the next month
before returning to Toronto on December 28
At Asferg he is visiting with his sister-in-law
Mrs. Rigmor Frederiksen and her daughter
Miss Lene Frederiksen. He is also visiting
his sister at Grenoaa.
Last Wednesday, Nov. 16, Joy (George)
McLean of Ripley was transferred from
Kincardine District Hospital to SL Joseph's
Hospital in London for further tests and
treatment. There Joy is on the Sixth floor
east in Room 601. Hest wishes of Ripley folks
go to Joy at this time,

Yesterday, November 22, has just passed.
Twenty years ago, it was Friday, Nov, 22,
1963 – Perhaps as a reader you remember
that day, Writer Ab Wylds still remembers
that afternoon and evening. Down at the
Ripley District High School students and
teachers were looking forward to the big
Friday night of the annual variety concert
and commencement – the first one In the
new auditorium just built that summer,
In the afternoon a boy from the school was
upstreet getting reserved tickets for the con-
cert from Rill McCreath at the Neil McLen-
nan Furniture Store, He heard the news
flashed on ,the radio there and brought word
back to the school,
There was always a radio on the front
desk in the science room. So it was turned on
to listen to the news, Soon the science room
was full as French teacher Michael Howard
brought his students from the room just
across the hall, With the door open the whole

of Madison, Wisconsin, and the ladies in
their long white ermine fur coats going to
the Horse Show,
On Wed., Nov. 2 Jim and Dorothy
Needham took our grain sheaves. Then on
Nov. 8 Jim took down the Holstein calf for
their daughter Janice. Then last week all
three were back doom when Janice showed
her calf and last Saturday, Jim was again
there to bring the calf home and also our
grain sheaves for which we are grateful.
For the Queen's Guineas show last Fri-
day, there were four boys from the Ripley 4-
H Beef Club Showing in the show – Paul
Keelan Bob 141ackw, Xen Thompson and
Jeff Elliott, The other members and leaders
Wilfred Gamble and Fred Henderson at-
tended. Calvin McConnell of Arnow and
Robert Osborne of Can. 4 in Huron township
showed their Brown Swiss dairy cattle and
helped make that show Hilray Farms of
Holyrood were announced top winners in the
catUe show,
