Rintoulgirls are champion
showmen at Royal Winter fair

Most of the Rintoul family returned home
from this year's Royal Winter Fair on
Sunday, Carol won Senior Champion show.

Carol also won over all best showperson in
this class, In the Hereford class prizes were
taken by Carol for Senior Showpersom and by
Debbie as Reserve PeeWee showperson.
Leroy and Lila ttintoul have continued on
to the Agribition which is held in Regina,
Saskatchewan following the Royal,
Hugh Todd returned home from the
Royal, This is the first time in several years
no place ribbons were won, Second place
ribbons were taken for most classes and
Reserve Champion for Ewe Lamb,
Jo -Aran Todd has returned home after a
week of visiting with various relatives and
family in the Toronto area,
Helen Todd and Isobel Miller returned
home after a week visiting with Mr, and
Mrs, Gordon Maclntyre of Richmond Hill,

The annual Women's Institute pot luck
supper was held at the hall on Monday
evening with a full house in attendance.
Following a delicious supper, a presentation
was made by the chairman of the Wingham
and District Hospital Hoard, Mary Vair and
the hospital executive director, Norman
Hayes, They presented a video of the
present hospital facilities and expressed the
need for the proposed addition, Floor plans
were shown as to the changes which will be
made in the second phase of their expansion
program, Mr, Hayes followed the video with
a question answer period, The presentation
was well received as this gave the residents
an opportunity to learn about this project,

weekend visitors with Mr, and Mrs, Ross
Errington, Also visiting on Saturday were
Mr, and Mrs, Art Finlayson, Seafo, Mr,

Herb Wilkins,
Mr, and Mrs, Simon Sehroder, of Abbots-
ford, 0,C, are visiting with Elsie and Roger
