Whitechurch lad home from hospital

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Elliott of Brussels on the arrival of a baby
boy, Matthew Blake, at London Hospital on
Tuesday. On Wednesday Mrs. Elliott and
baby boy were brought td Goderich Hospital,
and retdrned home en Saturday.
We ate pleased to report that Tim
Falconer was able to return home from
Wingham Hospital on Saturday after a stay,
of a few days with pneumonia.
Mr. and Mrs. John de duet visited Sunday
with his mother, Mrs. Symon de Hoer of
Lucknow.
Hrian Falconer and friends of Sarnia spent
the weekend with Cassie Mowbray.
Mt. and Mrs. Athol Purdon of Port
Colborne visited on the weekend with Mr.
and Mts. Angus Falconer, Cassie Mowbray,
Mr. and Mts. Wesley Tiffin and Isobel
Tiffin, Lucknow.

'visited Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs.
Archie Montgomery, Blyth.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McMillan of Sarnia
and Gregory of London visited Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin.
This community extends their sympathy to
Mr. Joe MacMillan, one of our pioneer
families, in the passing of his wife. Elixa-
beth, last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Rob Frank, Robbie and
Jamie of Teeswater spent Sunday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hill Gibson.
Joyce Tiffin of Toronto spent the weekend
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin.
On Saturday afternoon a relative bridal
shower was held in Gorrie at the home of
Mrs. John Strong for Sandra Currie. On
Sunday afternoon Sandra's brides maids
held a shower for friends,and school mates at
the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
A. Currie.
Weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. John
A. Currie were Karen Peters, Leslie and
Sheena of Woodstock; Sandra Currie,
Georgetown; Mr. and Mrs. Brian Courtis,
Andrea and Erica, Dorchester and Heather
Currie, Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Garry Rintoul, Kevin and
Corey visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Corey, Clinton.
Hazel Purdon returned home last Monday
from Wingham Hospital to the Cosy Cottage
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul are attending
the Regina Agribition show.
Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Speiran and Sara of
Brussels visited on Sunday with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rintoul.

The November meeting of Chaltiers
W.M.S. was held at Mrs. Rod Lamb's home
with Mrs. Archie Purdon and Mrs. Walter
Elliott leaders.
Mrs. Purdon opened the meeting. Mrs.
Purdon read the scripture and gave the
meditation on, When Winter Comes. In
Flanders Fields was read by Mrs. Elliott.
Voices in the Silent, was read by Mrs.
Purdon.
The financial statement was given by Mrs.
Ross. The slate of officers was presented as
follows: president, Mrs. Ross; vice presid-
ent, Mrs. Rod Lamb; secretary, Mrs. dill
Purdon; treasurer, Mrs. Wallace Milligan;
assistant secretary, Mrs. Alan Falconer;
Glad Tidings, Mrs. Walter Elliott; literature
and library, Mrs. Alan Falconer; friendship
and service, Mrs. John Gaunt; Ladies Aid,
Mrs. Alan Falconer; Home Helpers, Mrs.
Dave Moffat; supply, Mrs. Wesley Tiffin;
auditors, Mrs. Alan Falconer, Mrs. Angus
Falconer; program committee, Mrs. Alan
Falconer, Mrs. Rod Lamb; nominating com-
mittee, Mrs. Archie Purdon, Mrs. Walter
Elliott.
Roll call on Remembrance was answered
by eight. Mrs. Elliott gave the closing
prayer. Ladies Aid meeting followed after
which lunch was served by hostess, Mrs.
Lamb.
