FCC should be allowed to become more competitive with banks, rather than picking up the bad leans, said McQuail, banks aren't interested in the farm lending field, McQuai1 added, and FCC could be more competitive if it could finance through asci. bonds, Retiring farmers would like to invest in the future of the industry through agr#= bonds, he added, Members of the Concerned Farm Women also spoke to the meeting outlining concerns regarding comntodity prices, the so-called cheap food policy and a written statement which considered the Crow's Nest Pass Rate, They also gave Young a copy of 'The Farmer Takes a Wife", which includes survey results on the fatm familyand stress, 1n his comments followingte presenta- tions, Young said the NHis addressing farm issues in the House of Commons.
