Florence Louise Mothers died at Pattavool
Hospital in London on Friday, September 7J
following a lengthy illness, at the age of

Mothers taught at Ryerson Public School in

Cantron Slathers, a native of Ashfield
Township, whom she married on December
2, 1922. Mt. Mothers became a public
school inspector, first moving to Brace -
bridge,
in 1925, Mr. and Mts. Mothers took up
residence m Landon where Mt. Mothers was,
assistant superfine/en-tent of public schoofs
until his, untimely death on September 4,
19.
The late Mrs. Mothers was very active m
many church groups, rnct tdrng the VC lin

where she wail a faithful membet. She was
also a valued member of the 101*, holding
office in many capacities in het chaplet, the
Nicholas Wilson, as ova as in the London
Municipal Chapter and the Provincial
Chapter.
Presides het husband, she was predeceas-
ed by her only sister, B. Irene Porter in July
of 1974 and a niece in August o1 196fi.
She is survived by one daughter. Jean P.
Carruthers of Gorleticb, two sons,, D►en4d
W. Mothers and Dr. John B. Mothers, hath
of London, seven* gtandchildten, and c ne
great grandson.
A funeral service was Field at the James M
Harris, Funeral Home in London cvn Monday,
September 21), at 1.30 p. m. The Reverend
David R. Catrothers of Col6ot'ne Street
United Church officiated.
Pallbearers were John, David and Andrew
Catrothers, Geoffrey Crrims. Bob Clare and
Kern Lewis.
Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial
Guldens, Loo&n.

Spend thanksgiving at hams

Mr, and Mrs, `lasso Karantonis, Sophia
and friends of Toronto spent Thanksgiving
weekend at their home here,
Mr, and Mrs, kin McGuire spent part of
Thanksgiving with Mr, and Mrs. Mark
Burgess of Kitchener and attended some of
the activities at Octoberfest. Scott and Chris
stayed with grandma and grandpa Reeves in
Riley.
Mr, and Mrs, truss 0'1 bndley and
children spent the holiday weekend with
their family in Cambridge,
Brian McGuire of Kitchener spent the
holiday weekend with his parents, Mr, and
Mrs, Jack Met uire and on Sunday evening
they enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving
supper with Mr. and Mrs, Walter Black and
Mr. and Mrs, Jim Black,
