Mt's. Albert Sutter, the
former Violet Austin, East
Detroit, Michigan, passed
away in Detroit on Thursday,
August 18, 1983, age 86
years,
She was the daughter of
Peter and Anne (McCann)
Austin of Kingsbridge, born
March 13, 1897 and received
her education at the Kings-
bridge school.
She married Albert Sutter
on November 26, 1919. She is
the dear mother of Albert
Sutter, Mrs, Isaac (Lucille)
DeBaker, Mrs, Joseph (Ther-
esa) Lombardo, Mrs, George
(Jean) Baert, and Mrs, Ed-
ward (Marilyn) Wolf, She is
also survived by nine grand-
children and 11 great grand-
childrenl and one brother,
Cyril Austin, Kingsbridge.
She was predeceased by
her husband Al in 1954, her
children Joseph John and
Josephine Mary in 1930,
Walter Jerome In 1936, and
Annette Charlene in 19551
her brothers, Joseph, Vin-
cent, Michael, Francis in
1977, and Lawrence in 19821
and her sisters Mrs, Mamie
Corriveau, formerly Mrs,
Mamie Chisholm, and Mrs,
Irene Murphy in 1982,
Her body rested at the
Kaul funeral Home, Gratiot
Avenue, Roseville, Funeral
service was celebrated at St,

Pallbearers were Robert
(Robb) Kolloen, Tom Sutter,
Edward Wolf, William Row-
an and Tom Smiatacz. Inter-
ment was in Mount Olivet
Cemetery.
Attending the funeral from
this area were Cyril and
Catherine Austin, John and
Rose Austin, Eldon and
Mary Austin and Joe and
Teresa Courtney.
Howard Sproul
Howard Sproul of R,R. 6
Goderich (West Wawanosh
Township) died in Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital
on Sunday, August 28 at the
age of HO,
He was born in West
Wawanosh Township on
March 19, 1903 to David
Matthew and Edith (God-
frey) Sproul,
He married May Louise
Robinson on May 30, 1928 in
Goderich: They lived in
Detroit for three years
following their marriage and
then returned to the late Mr,
Sproul's fathers farm where
they resided until moving to
Nile in 1975,
The late Mr, Sproul was a
retired farmer and car-
penter and a member of Nile
United Church,
He is survived by his wife',
two daughters, Mrs, George

and Gary, both of 11.11. 3
Auburn; two brothers,
Wilfred Sproul of Oshawa
and John Sproul of
Holmesvllle; six grand-
children; and four great-
grandchildren.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Home
in Goderich on Tuesday,
August 30 at 2 p.m. The
Reverend R.J. Roberts of-
ficiated.
Pallbearers were James
Sproul and Ron Sproul, both
of Oshawa, Delmer, Gary
Sproul and David Sproul, all
of R,R. .3 Auburn and
Raymond Hallahan of Ilyth.
Flower bearers were
Allister . Nivins of R.R. 3
Auburn and Stan Dungale of
MR, H Goderich.

Innis Edward MacSween
of 1298 Wayne Road, Lon-
don, Ontario died August 6,
1983 in St, Joseph's Hos-
pital, London, after a lengthy
illness, in his 65th year.
Born January 18, 1919, he'
was raised on lot 22, conces-
sion 12, Kincardine Town-
ship, the second son of the
late Roy and Ethel (Shipley)
MacSween, 1 -le received his
education in S, 5, No, 3,
1lruce and Kincardine, and in

In I94: the late Innis
MacSween married Elisa-
beth (Bertha) McCreight of
Huron Township. They resid-
ed in Lucknow for several
years, active in the Presby-
terian Church and then mov-
ed to London where he was
employed by Ontario Agri-
culture and hood, for 31
years.
Surviving Mr. MacSween
are his wife, one son Rod-
erick (Rod) of Toronto, and
one daughter, Darlene (Del -
annoy) of Montreal; four
grandchildren; two sisters,
Mrs. Fred (Aneita) Gotts-
chalk of Kincardine and Mrs.
Garnet (Laurene) Taylor of
Walkerton; two brothers,
Lloyd of Kincardine and
Royden of Listowel; nieces
and nephews; also, Mrs. A.
McCrelght of London, moth-
er-in-law of the deceased.
The funeral service was
held on Tuesday, August 9,
1983 from MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home in
Kincardine, conducted by
Rev. Douglas MacDonald of
Attlee !leach, a former friend
of the deceased.
The pallbearers were Fred
Ocittschalk, Garnet Taylor,
Wayne Taylor, Matt Mc -

A Masonic service was held.

Owen Sound, formerly of
Lucknow, are happy to an-
nounce the marriage of their
son, Robert George, to Janey
Barbara, daughter of Leon-
ard and Barbara Kant of
Sudbury.
The wedding took place
Saturday, August 27 in Divi-
sion Street United Church,
Owen Sound,
Rev. Wallace Little, cousin
of the groom, from Cam-
bridge officiated, assisted by
Rev. Harvey Murphy, min-
ister of Division Street Unit-
ed Church.
Attendants were the
bride's sister, Mrs. Peggy
Vetch of Pembroke and John
Radkc, friend of the groom,
from Waterloo.
Clifford Gates was organ-
ist and accompanied the
muslelans, violist Suzanne
McKegney of Winnipeg,
clarinetist Michael Lyons of
Subury, soprano Theresa
Kramer of Guelph and tru. 1 -
peter Nancy Harrison of
Sudbury.
The reception was held at
the ParagonClub. The new-
lyweds departed for Regina,
Saskatchewan where Bob
will be studying at the Uni-
versity of Regina. He has
also been hired ' as the
director of the Regina Sym-
phony Philharmonic Chorus.
