Congratulations to Don and Linda Culbert on the birth of their daughter Lisa, born Wednesday, August 17 in Goderich hospital. Ricky Haba of Mt. Clem- ens, Michigan is spending a few weeks with his great aunt and uncle Sharon and Doug Baltzer, Cathy and Kevin. Ruth and Norval Anderson of Toronto, who are holiday- ing at their cottage at Port Albert visited an Saturday with their cousin Gertie Park. Congratulations to Fred Shetler who celebrated his 90th birthday on Sunday with a dinner out with his son Gerald and wife of Napanee. Spending a few days with Don and Lee Shetler is their daughter, Jane, who will be leaving soon to resume her teaching position north of Thompson, Manitoba. olivet Evelyn Errington, Grace Black ^f Goderich and Belle Mole of Lucknow enjoyed a one week western visit, re- turning home on Tuesday. Doug Zehr conducted the ceremony. The groom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Joseph Metzger of 14. 3 Lucknow, and the bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Peter Martin of Dungannon. Pauline Bauman, of Elmira, was the maid of honour, and bridesmaids were Susan Wagfer of Toronto, and Karen Metzger of R. 3 Lucknow. The groomsman was James Wagfer of Waterloo. Ushers were Kenneth Metzger of R. 3 Lucknow, and Gerald Martin of Dungannon. A reception was held at Brookside Public Schooi, following which the couple left for a wedding trip to Eastern Ontario and Quebec. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Metzger are living at 75 Milford Avenue, Waterloo. Jim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Black of the 4th concession and Kathy is the daughter of Mrs. Betty and the late Dr. Jeffery of London. Jim and Kathy left on Sunday on a three week honeymoon to the British Isles where they are going to bike through Scotland. Mrs. Ron McGuire and boys had an enjoyable time at Lurgan Beach on Saturday with the 13111 Reeves, Don McLay and John Dodds families. Each year they enjoy this get together in the form of a picnic. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Steele and family of London spent the weekend at their summer home here. Joyce Black is visiting for a couple of clays with friends in Toronto. They are going to the exhibition and on Tues- day evening are taking in the Stratford Festival. Joyce leaves on Friday for St. Paul, Alberta. She has been visit- ing for the past month with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Black of the 4th concession.
