Businesses look at bike racks
On Wednesday, August
17, Lucknow Business Asso-
ciation held their regular
meeting with seven members
present, Nancy Quinn, pres-
ident, chaired the meeting.
Discussion
Lucknow Agriculture Soc-
iety questioned the response
of the Association to placing
more benches on the main
street, the response being
that they go to the merchant
involved for authorization of
placing the benches, It was
also mentioned that the
placing of a bicycle stand at
perhaps the post office would
be of help to the street.
The replacement of two
trees in the main street
planters was raised, Nancy
Quinn stated that next spring
should one of trees not live,
she would replace it, The
missing tree, if not replaced
by the Horticultural Society,
will be looked into hi the
spring by the Business Asso-
ciation,
Dues
A motion was made by Al
Hamilton that no dues be
collected this year due to the
balance remaining in the
account, and the contribu-
tions made by the businesses
in connection with Jamboree
'83. Seconded by Betty Mc-
Donagh and carried.
Betty McDonagh motioned
that the ice time provided for
the children by the Business
Association in the Christmas
season be dropped. She sug-
gested they approach the
Kinsmen Club to accept a
donation towards the Christ-

conduct for the children of
the area,

some accessories for them,
John says he has spent
considerable time research-
ing all the woodburning
products on the market so
that he can advise his cust-
omer on the most fuel t-
ient, durable heating units
available, He claims his steel
and cast iron woodburning
models are among the best -
and he has them for every
decorating taste and pocket-
book,
John and Kathie can also

energy,
Besides all this, customers
at the Woodburner Shop can
get competent advice for safe

stored grain until payment is
received for any sale of the
stored grain,
"The amended act speci-
fies that all grain delivered to
an elevator is deemed for
storage unless otherwise es-
tablished by written agree-
ment," said Timbrell, "it
states that the producer
retains the title to the grain
until payment is received for
the sales transaction,,'
However, the legislation
still allows producers to sell
farm produce on option and
receive partial payment im-
mediately, leaving the re-
mainder of payment due, in
this case, the title to the
stored produce can be trans-
ferred to the elevator oper-
ator by agreement before the
full amount is paid to the
producer,
The art also expands the
powers of the chief inspector
to allow the inspector to seal
bins, seize, remove and even
sell stored grain to safeguard
the producer's interests,
