George Snleder of Goderich, son of Mrs. Freda Snleder of
Clinton, and Marian Meurs of Goderich, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Gerry Meurs of R,R. 1 Ripley, were married in
the Lucknow Christian Reformed Church by the Reverend
Bert Slofstra on July 23. Maid of honor was Nathalie
Meurs of Ripley, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were
Alice Sikma of Kincardine, friend of the bride and
Henrietta Snleder of Clinton, sister of the groom.
Groomsman was Larry Livingstone of Clinton, friend of
the groom. Guests were ushered into the church by John
Primeau of Goderich, friend of the groom and Jack Meurs
of Ripley, brother of the bride. Following the wedding
ceremony, a reception was held at the Goderich Legion
Hall. After a wedding trip to the United States, Mr. and
Mrs, George Snleder took up residence at 177 Spencer

Machines, • Benton
Strathcona Presbyterian Church, Edmonton, Alberta was
the setting for the marriage of Hugh Allan Maclnnes and
Diane Benton. Rev. G. Johnstone officiated on July 2, 1983.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. W. R. Benton. Edmonton
and the late Mrs. Benton, and the parents of the groom are
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Maclnnes of Lucknow. Organist was
Mr. Don Robertson. The bride, given in marriage by het
father, chose a floor length white polyester gown styled with
high collar, embroidered lace yoke and long lace sleeves.
1 -ler full skirt fell into a chapel train. Her sister, Cindy
Benton, wore a floor length gown of polyester blue sheer as
maid of honour. They carried bouquets of yellow roses.
white lilies and ivy The groom and his attendants wore grey
tuxedoes. The groomsman was Jack Huston, formerly of
Huron Township. Ushers were Terry Elliott of Amberley
and Robert Benton. brother of the bride. Edmonton.
Following the wedding ceremony. the dinner and reception
were held at ldylwylde Hall 81st. The bride's table was
centred with a four tiered wedding cake and the reception
followed for the remainder of the evening. Guests, were
present from several points in Alberta and British
Columbia. as well as Rainy Rivet, Palmerston and Lucknow.
Ontario. The couple have taken up residence at 4237 -85th
Street Edmonton. Alberta following a wedding trip to the
coast. after family and friends visited a few days with them
at their residence. The groom's parents were honoured at
the bridal dinner on their 40th wedding anniversary the
following day. They were presented with a bouquet of red
roses and a ruby ring each from their three sons and three
daughters - in - law.

Gilchrist • King
Robert Grant Gilchrist, R. 5 Lucknow, and Denise Elizabeth
King, R. 2 Holyrood, were married at Lucknow Presbyterian
Church on July 23. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. A.
Ramsay. The bride is the daughter of Mr, Ernie King of
Brussels and Mrs, Thelma Affleck of R, 2 Holyrood. The
groom is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Robert Gilchrist of R. 5
Lucknow. Valerie Found, of Shelburne, was the matron of
honour, and the bridesmaids were Norma Maclntyre or R. 5
Lucknow, Kathy Brooks of Lucknow, and Cathy Ackert of
Holyrood. Katherine -Ann King of R, 4 Kincardine and
Michelle King of R. 5 Brussels were flower girls. Pat Murray
of Lucknow was the groomsman, and ushers were Dan
Gilchrist of R. 5 Lucknow, Glenn Allan of R. 3 Holyrood, and
Ray Cunningham of R. 5 Lucknow. A reception followed at the
Lucknow Community Centre, After a wedding trip to Wheels
Inn, Chatham, the couple took up residence at R. 5 Lucknow.

Dale Lorne Parrish, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Parrish
of R.R. 3 Lucknow, and Betty Maria Knoop, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Knoop of R.R. 3 Goderich were
married in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church,
Kingsbridge by the Reverend Father Edward Dentinger
on July 22, Maid of honor was Marian Knoop of R,R, 3
Goderich, sister of the bride. Flowergirl was Jolene
Shelton of R.R. 2 Kincardine, niece of the groom.
Groomsman was Kevin Swan of R.R. 3 Lucknow, friend of
the groom. Ringbearer was Jacob Knoop of R.R. 2
Elderton, nephew of the bride. Following the wedding
ceremony, a reception was held in Lucknow Community
Centre. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lorne Parrish are residing at
