Two weeks ago, Harold and Ralph installed a new forced air ventilating system on the floor of the metal silo storing this wheat. Farewell party On Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. Tom and Marje Culbert held a farewell neighbors party at their home for their next door neighbors Jerry and Ann Huber. They were presented with a gift - locally crafted. Then lunch was served with ladies Anna MacTavish, Helen Irwin and Eileen Mac- Donald among those assisting Marje. Jerry and Ann plan to move from their Ripley home to Waterloo the first part of next week and then later in the week, Grant and Barbara McDonald will be moving in from the Second concession west of Smoky Hollow. Norm Barnard of Ripley celebrated his 70th birthday Sunday. With Norman and Mabel on this occasion were their daughter Shirley and husband Michael Burnham obituaries of Kincardine and the it family Dawn Carruthers and son Cole of Ripley, Ann and Dale Rock and daughter, Ellen of Kincardine and close friends. George McLean, his mother Mrs. Jennie McLean, Mary Lynn, Debbie and Lisa McLean were in Lion's Head on Monday, August 1st, last week. George, Jennie, and Mary Lynn attended the funeral of Bill Stewart who was mar- ried to a cousin of George. Bill and Bertha Scott of the Fourth Concession, John W. and Mary Scott of Ripley were in London visiting with Lucknow Sentinel, Wednesday, August 10, 1983—Page 19 Mrs. Elizabeth Fair last Sun- day in St. Joseph's hospital. Last Wednesday morning she suffered a severe hip in- jury in a fall at her Ripley home. After examination in Kincardine hospital, she was transferred to St. Joe's. Redvers Johnson who was home briefly a week ago, is back in Kincardine Hospital. As of yesterday ( Tuesday ) his brother-in-law, Clarence Hedley ; is in St. Joe's, Lon- don. Mervin Funston of Pine River, the Sixth Concession west of Highway 21 in Huron township, is in University Hospital in London. Benson Alvin Park Benson Alvin Park of 517 Campbell Street, Lucknow, died in Wingham and District Hospital on Sunday, July 31 at the age of 70. He was born in Dungannon on February 4, 1913 to Richard West and Margaret Ann (Reid) Park. He worked as a farmer. On March 18, 1939, he married Hazel Rita Taylor, formerly of Albemarle Township and Hepworth, at the home of Mary and Art Stewart of Ashfield Town- ship. She survives him. Also surviving him are nine children, Ken of Brampton, Mrs. David (Eleanor) Compton of Lucan, Mrs. Glen (Marilyn) Bradley of Sudbury, Larry of R.R. 6 Goderich, Mrs. Diane Burt of Goderich, Allan of Fort McLeod, Alberta, Mrs. Bill (Colleen) Naylor of Sarnia, Doug of Goderich and Mrs. Brian (Janice) Brindley of Goderich; two sisters, Mrs. Art (Mary) Stewart of R.R. 6 Goderich and Mrs. Ken (Beth) Hodges of Dungannon; two brothers, John and Richard Jr. (Dick), both of Dungannon; and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Beverley Faye Park in infancy; and one sister, Mrs. Howard (Edna) Black. Whitechurch... •from page 14 bridge, returning home on Tuesday. There were around 30 present. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Irwin were camping a few days at Belmore. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Evans of London attended the Mof- fat picnic held at Wingham Park. His mother. Nellie Evans. accompanied them to Wingham and visited Sunday with Rena Fisher. A funeral service was held at Stiles, Funeral Home in Godericon Wednesday, August 3 at 2 p.m. The Reverend John D.M. Wood officiated. Pallbearers were Bill Black of Goderich, Clair Hodges of R.R. 3 Goderich, Greg Park of R.R. 2 Auburn, Wayne Park of Dungannon, Norman Stewart of Lambeth and John Stanbury of Dungannon. Interment was in Dungannon Cemetery. , Daniel Wylds, Daniel Wylds of RR 3, Lucknow died at Kincardine Hospital on July 19, 1983 in his 98th year. A carpenter and stationary engineer in the Lucknow- Ripley area, he also worked at his occupation in the western provinces prior to his marriage to Ethel Taylor of Ashfield Township in December, 1920. Born in Huron Township on July 16, 1886, he was the son of the late Henry Wylds and Catherine McLay of Huron Township. He is survived by a son, Warren, of Ashfield Township, with whom he liv- E. He was predeceased by his wife, a son, Lloyd and five brothers and one sister. The funeral was conducted from the MacKenzie and Mc- Creath Funeral Home, Lucknow, on July 21, 1983 at 2 p.m. by Rev. Hugh Nugent of Ashfield Presbyterian Church where Mr. Wylds was a member. Pallbearers were Brian Wylds, Ken Wylds, Steven Wylds, Steve Bell, Joe Hohgins and John Zimmer- man. Burial followed in Lochalsh Cemetery. Mary Olive Webster Mary Olive Webster of Burlington passed away in the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on July 30, 1983 in hnr 88th year. Mary Olive was the daughter of the late William D. Webster and Millie Graham. She was predeceased by her only sister, Flora in April, 1980.. Funeral service was held at MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow on Monday, August 1, 1983. Reverend Warren McDougall of Lucknow United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Watt Webster, Mel Webster, Charles Webster, Alex An- drew, Glen Walden and Ron Alton. Flowerbearers were Bill Andrew Jr., Allen Andrew and Bob Best.
