Lochalsh correspondent enjoys Saskatoon vacation

Jim Webster of Waterloo
and his mother, Kae, have
been on holidays for two
weeks to Saskatoon, Saskat-
chewan to visit with Kae's
two sisters, Helen Krowchuk
and her husband, Mike and
Verna McKay and their
families.
The weather there was hot
with a couple of showers.
Two tornadoes touched down
about 20 miles out of the city
with quite a lot of damage.
They had a lovely trip and
it was so nice to see them all.
Visiting with Rhetta Mac-
Lennan for a few days were
her daughter, Louise Millar
of Palmerston and her son,
George MacLennan of Toron-
to.
Visiting with Dorothy
(D.A.) MacLennan were her
daughter, Peggy Hefferman
of London and her son,
Finlay MacLennan of Kit-
chener.
Those with Finlay and
Margie MacDonald on Civic
Holiday weekend to attend
the annual MacDonald picnic
were their grandson, Thomas
MacDonald of Fort Nelson,
British Columbia; Bil1, Kitty,
Caroline and Katie Coburn of
Detroit, Michigan; Bob,
Kathy, Phadea, and Ryan
Robson of Grosse Point,
Mighigan; Jim, Anne, Gregg
and Jay Hosley of Sterling

Ralph Cameron of Lucknow,
who has been ill in the
hospital. Ralph was able to
return home last week.

Robert and Andrew Stroh
of Stratford spent the week-
end with their grandparents,
Bill and Margaret Andrew.
On Sunday, August 7, at
Varney Speedway, driving
#71 "Mopar Muscle", was
Bill Wilkins, who placed first
and third, and Darlene Dunn
of Wingham, who placed
second in the Powder Puff
race. This was their first
night out. On the same night,
driving #15 "Satellite Sensa-
tion", owned by Jack Wilk-
ins and Larry Blake, was
Jack who had two fifth
placings and a second. Shar-
on Blake drove #15 in the
Powder Puff but was unfor-
tunately disqualified. Con-
gratulations to the four of
you!

visiting with Mrs. Robb's
sister and brother-in-law,

lan of Bala. Since they
returned from their vacation
they were baby sitting their
granddaughter, Heather
Darling, while her parents,
Sandra and Bob Darling of
Hanover were on holidays.
