Visit with Lochalsh couple

and Margie MacDonald were
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Robson
and family of Grosse Point,
Michigan.
On Wednesday Charles
and Mayme Wilkins had
Jessie Alton of Lucknow and
Isabel Edgeworth of London
visit with them for the day.
Recent visitors with Wel-
lington and Kae Webster
were Jack and Marion Smith
of Dungannon.
On Sunday, June 10 there
were four babies baptized in
the Ashfield Presbyterian
Church. They were Heather
Nicole, daughter of Bob and
Sandra Darling of Hanover,
granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Robb; Matthew
Louis, son of Louis and
Janice Sloetjes and grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Col-
lins; Steven Kent, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Steven Readman of
Wingham, grandson of Mr.
and Mrs. Merele Kerr, and
Sharon Christine, daughter
of Rod and Barbara MacDon-
ald, granddaughter of Dave
MacDonald and Isabel Mac-
Donald of Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Rieg-
ling attended a wedding in
Chatham on Saturday.
Jim Webster of Waterloo
visited at home with his
parents, Kae and Wellington
Webster on the weekend.
Charles and Mayme Wilk-
ins were at the Wellington
Webster home one evening
for a visit.
Recent visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Art Matthewman
were Mr. and Mrs. William
Cameron of Shelbourne and
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rothwell
of Orangeville.
Marion MacLennan and
Dick Evans left Thursday by
bus for their home in Sud-
bury.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Matth-
ewman, accompanied by Mr.
Matthewman's sister and her
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Heson of Minden, motored to
Winnipeg, Manitoba by way
of the United States to attend
the SOth wedding annivers-
ary of Mr. Matthewman's
older brother, Stewart and
his wife.
' Mr. and Mrs. Ross Mac-
Kenzie spent the weekend in
Toronto visiting with rela-
tives.
Doyle and Nora Hogg of
Ypsilanti, Michigan visited
on Monday with Ross and
Jean MacKenzie.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hues -
ter of St. Paul,. Minnesota.
We are sorry that Dan
Wylds is still in hospital.
Hope he will be able to be
home again soon.
Shower August bride -elect

The basement of Dungan-
non United Church was dec-
orated with summer flowers
and bells and streamers in
shades of pink and white for
the community shower held
Thursday evening for August
bride -elect, Wanda Park.
Virginia Caesar acted as
chairlady. She conducted the
contests and read the ad-
dress to Wanda. The many
beautiful and useful gifts
were carried in by Tanya
Hodges and Lisa Sillib.
On Sunday a real surprise
shower was held by the girls
in the wedding party at the
home of Kathy Dougherty,
Goderich. The maid of hon-
our, Tammy Skidmore of
Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, was
not to arrive until July but
through some secret and
careful planning she arrived
early Sunday morning, much
to the pleasure of the bride -
elect who also knew nothing
of the shower.
A very successful pork bar-
beque was held at Nile, by
the Inner Circle Club on
Sunday. Caroline Snowden of
Lucknow, was the lucky
winner of the quilt.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Val-
dez of Trinidad and John
Bere and David of London
visited for a few days this
week with Mary Bere.

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment has
developed for public review a compre-
hensive proposal of new programs, controls
and regulations for the better management
of the eight million tons of solid waste and
the 60 million gallons of liquid industrial
waste generated in Ontario each year.
The public is invited to discuss this
`Blueprint for Waste Management' with
Ministry staff at an

Written or oral presentations on the
`Blueprint for Waste Management' may be
presented at public meetings to be held
through out Ontario starting in September.
