A teacher, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Born in West Wawanosh Township on July 11, 1894, she was a daughter of the later Peter Clark and Anna MacKenzie. She was predeceased by five sisters and three broth- ers. The funeral was conducted from the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow on July 6, 1983 at 3 p.m. by Rev. Allison Ramsay of Lucknow Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Green- hill Cemetery. William Jaynes Lyons William James Lyons of Lucknow passed away in University Hospital, London on June 21, 1983 in his 77th year. A retired farmer in West Wawanosh, he was born in West Wawanosh on May 17, 1907, a son of the late James Lyons and Roseannah Hunt- er of Lucknow. He married Catherine Elizabeth Hawk- shaw of Kinloss at the Pres- byterian Manse in Lucknow. He is survived by his wife, one son, James William Ly- ons of Lucknow and a grand- daughter, Nancy May Lyons of Lucknow. Two brothers, Gordon M. Lyons of West Wawanosh and Alex C. Lyons of Hamilton, also sur- vive. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Rob- ert. The funeral was held from the MacKenzie and Mc- Creath Funeral Home in Lucknow, conducted by Rev. Allison Ramsay of Lucknow Presbyterian Church, at 2 p.m. on June 23, 1983. Pallbearers were Ross Hoggart, William Campbell, Donald Gaunt. Charlie Trav- is, Doug Gollan and Floyd Milne. Flower bearers were Ther- esa Gollan, Darlene Biernes, Velma Morningstar, Eldon Miller, Robert Lyons and Bill Biernes. Burial followed in South Kinloss Cemetery. William Benson Mole William Benson Mole of Dungannon passed away in Kincardine General Hospital on June 16, 1983 at the age of 73. Born September 3, 1910 in Dungannon, he was the son of the late William A. Mole and Grace McWhinney. He married Margaret And- rews on June 1, 1933. A farmer for several years on the sixth concession of Ashfield Township, he deliv- ered the Dungannon rural mail for 10 years. They retired to Dungannon in 1974. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Robert of Ash- field Township; Douglas Ed- son of Alberta; Walter of Kincardine and three daugh- ters, Lois and Jeanette of Kincardine and Nancy of Hensall. Fifteen grandchild- ren and two great grand- children also survive. He was predeceased by a brother Harvey, a sister, Mary and two grandchildren in infancy. The funeral was held from the MacKenzie and Mc- Creath Funeral Home in Lucknow on June- 18, 1983 with burial in Dungannon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Mole, Monty Walden, Bill Cooke, Sam Cooke, Sandy Andrews and Bill Andrews. Flower bearers were Don- ald Mole, Ross Brindley, Alvin Sherwood, Frank Pent- land, Jack Caesar and Alan Petrie. Celebrate birthday George and Olive Colwell and Ezra and Lulu Stanley of Lucknow enjoyed supper at the South Dawson Restaur- ant July 9 to celebrate Olive's birthday. The Stan- ley's grandson accompanied them. On the drive home by Belmore, they enjoyed the scenery. CLASSIFIED ADS WORK Leona & Fred Vassella July 15th LUCKNOW Charles Wilbur McQuillan Charles Wilbur McQuillin of West Wawanosh Town- ship, passed away in Wing - ham and District Hospital, on Sunday, July 3, 1983 in his 73rd year. He suffered a heart attack while marching in the Ontario Mass Legion Pipe and Drums parade in conjunction with Jamboree '83. Charles was a Superannu- ated School Teacher, having taught in the Huron County school system from 1932 to 1972. In World War II he joined the 28th Field Ambu- lance, Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, and spent his service years aboard the Lady Nelson, the Hospital Ship of Mercy, making many Atlantic crossings to bring home the sick and wounded. Charles was a life member of the Lucknow Branch No. 309 Canadian Legion; a member of Huron Lodge A.F. and A.M. No. 224, Hensall, Ontario; and a former member of the Grand Black Chapter of British America, R.B.P. No. 132, in the Loyal Orange Associa- tion. He was a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church, Lucknow, where he had served on the Board of Management. Charles was particularly interested in Nature, especially birds, one of his hobbies being the making of purple martin houses. He was fond of music, and enjoyed playing his fife. On a number of occasions he accompanied the Ontario Mass Pipe and Drums on their tours. Born in West Wawanosh on November 27, 1910, he was the son of the late William McQuillin and the former Annie Haines. Charles is survived by two sisters, Beatrice McQuillin, West Wawanosh; Mildred, Mrs. William Purdon, Whitechurch; one brother, William McQuillin, West Wawanosh;, one sister -in-' law, Mrs. Jean McQuillin, Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Maud and Mary, and two brothers, George and Robert. Branch No. 309 Canadian Legion, conducted a Memor- ial Service at MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral, Home, Lucknow, Tuesday evening, July 5 at 9.00 p.m. The funeral service was held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, at 2.00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 1983, with interment in Greenhill Cemetery, Luck - now. Rev. George Garratt officiated, with MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Eldon Bradley, George Anderson, H. D. Thompson, Irvine Eedy, Angus McDonald and Watson Webster.
