purchased the album or
cassette, People Like You,
through Brookside School or
the local Kinettes, will be
pleased to know the young
lad who performed the words
and music received a special
award recently. Kevin Den-
bok, an 18 year old cystic
fibrosis victim from Coiling -
wood, Ontario, raised over
S250,000 for C.F. through
the sales of his album. He
was one of the 120 recipients
of an Ontario Medal for Good
Citizenship presented at
Queen's Park by Lieutenant
John Aird. Premier William
Davis commended all the
recipients on their good
work.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Harris of Mitchell and Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Cantelon of
Clinton visited on Friday
with Mel Jones.
Valerie Bendig and Joel
visited with her parents, Bill
and Marie Park, Todd, Brad
and Patti on Friday. Son in-
law Mike Bendig called
Valerie Thursday morning
from Harbon, China where
he will be for the next few
weeks. He reports that the
group he is with have seen
many interesting sights
while there, including climb-
ing the Great Wall. While on
a stop over in Tokyo, the
group stayed at the same
hotel and met actor Roger
Moore of James Bond "007"
fame.

who were married on July 2
in Dungannon United

Paul Chisholm celebrated
his 4th birthday on July 1
with a birthday party. Mom
Jane served up a birthday
supper for Brad Park, Mike
and Tim Spivak, Jack Chis-
holm, Billy Tucker and big
brother, Jamie.
Margaret and Jim Erring-
ton returned recently from a
16 day western trip visiting
with family and friends, Son,
Roger at Barrhead, Alberta;
daughter, Audrey, employed
at the Columbian Ice Fields
in Alberta for the summer;
daughter, Cindy and Denis
Maxymchuk and grand-
daughter, Erin of Surrey,
B.C.; Gail (Pritchard) and
Darryl Abrams, Barrhead,
Alberta; cousin, Marjorie
(Errington) and. husband,
Bob Andreason and Eric and
Lorna Wiggins, all of Surrey,
B.C.
Paul Brown, son of Barry
and Dorothy Brown, is a
patient in University Hospit-
al, London with a badly
broken right leg. The leg was
broken on Saturday during
the Lucknow parade when
Paul's horse reared and
threw him off, rolling on him
in the process. The horse was
subdued by Jim Robertson
who just happened to in the
crowd. Paul was removed by
ambulance to Goderich Hos-
pital then later that night to
London.
Ross and Bessie MacDon-
ald of Ottawa visited on the
weekend with his mom, Lil.
Also visiting were Jim and
Rose Peterson, Lisa, Mai and
Donnie of St. Petersburg,
Florida who were staying in
Lucknow on the weekend to
take in the Jamboree cele-
brations.

Rev. Glen Noble of Swift
Current, Sask. Sandra at-
tended a shower held Mon-
day night at Isabelle
Forster's for Betty Morrison
and Ann Reid, recent brides.
Frances Emerson,
Goderich, was a supper
guest Friday with Bob and
Marion Emerson.
The Elliott family attend-
ed the reunion picnic of the
Ned Stanley family at
Ashfield Park on Saturday.
The two day event finished
up at Elliott's on Sunday.
Nickie Elliott of Ferndale,
Mich., spent the weekend
with Johp and Joyce Farrell
and girls.
Wilma Sutton attended an
OMF Convention in Indiana
last weekend.
Congratulations to Janice
Needham who was selected
as the Ripley Fall Fair
Queen for 1983.
Don and Alma Gillies at-
tended the Mills picnic which
was held in. Paisley on Sun-
day.
Wray and Linda Thomp-
son, Toronto, visited Wilda
and Harvey on the weekend.
Many from here took in the
various events of Jamboree
'83 in Lucknow this past
weekend.
George and Janice Miller,
London, spent a few days
with Jack and Janet Farrell.
Kerry Boyle is home from
Quebec City for a couple of
weeks holiday.
