Former, residents, family and friends returned to join in on the fun and the joy of renewing acquaintances will warm our hearts for months to come. The Jamboree committee did an excellent job of organizing the weekend. While they have had their difficulties over the past weeks, it was not evident as all events proceeded smoothly and the weekend came off without a hitch. Thankyou Special appreciation goes to the members of the Lucknow Fire Department who worked diligently throughout the weekend to direct traffic during the parades and to assist with emergency first-aid. They were on the scene within seconds to assist Charlie McQuillan when he collapsed during the Legion parade a_,d they administered first-aid to many who had been overcome by heat and sun. They also brought water to the park for members of the Ontario Legion Mass Pipe and Drums, many of whom would have been overcome by the heat in their full dress, if it hadn't been for a drink of water before the return march. While everyone else was enjoying the party, the volunteers with our fire department and St. John's Ambulance. patrolled the town helping out wherever they were needed. They deserve our heart felt thanks and appreciation. Order of service Branch Padre: The Reverend G.
