Denise Curran, Lisa Sillib; fifth year seal, Angela Glenn, Arletta Glenn, Lynda Hayden, Lori Hayden; 6th year seal, Tanya Hodges, Tim McNee, Dana Park; seventh year seal, Shannon McNeil, Alison Curl ran, Michael Curran; eighth year diploma, Sherry Hod- ges; ninth year seal, Susan, Martha and Heather Curran. Receiving a Bible for 200 Sundays of attendance were Sheri Smyth, Joey Curran and Lynda Hayden. The 409 Squadron R.C.A.F. held its annual get together at Rathfon Inn, Port Colborne on Sunday, June 26 Visiting veterans were from Sarnia, Glen Huron, Hamilton, North.Va,ncouver, Woodstock, Dungannon, Ay- ton. Carlisle, Winnipeg, Lac Due Bonnett, Manitoba: Port Hope, Toronto, Fort Erie and Ballantrae. Leonard Snelgrove of Markdale visited with his sister, Lee Shetler for a few days. On Sunday they motor- ed to Mount Brydges to attend decoration day servic- es at Mount Brydges Cem- etery. Sunny skies prevailed on Sunday afternoon for the annual decoration day servic- es held at Dungannon Cem- etery, conducted by Rev. R. Roberts of the United Church. Organist was Mr. Ken Cowan. The Honour Roll for 1982-83 recorded fifteen burials. Betty and Fred Stirling, Darlene and Harold of Thamesville visited on the weekend with their mother, Elsie Irvin, Darlene remain- ed for a week's holiday with her grandmother. Sunday callers with Hazel Webster were daughter. Et- tabelle and Bill Bradley of Goderich. John and Violet Durnin of West Wawanosh and Gordon and Margaret (Ryan) Kydd of Georgetown. Many of the area's popu- lation attended the Molson Drag Boat Challenge held at London on Fanshawe Lake, Sunday afternoon. There was an estimated 16,000 persons, in attendance on Sunday. The weekend total was in the neighbourhood of 25.000. Attend wedding anniversary... 'from page 12 Arnold Lougheed, the former Vivian Fisher at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Machan.' A large crowd gathered at Teeswater Complex Saturday night to assist Mr. and Mrs. Wadel of Teeswater elebrate their 45th wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Wadel grew up in the vicinity and being well known for their friendliness all the folks who knew them were at the party, Saturday night. The community extends congrat- ulations to Mr. and Mrs. Wadel, former residents of the vicinity. After church on Sunday at the United Church the con- gregation enjoyed a pot luck luncheon held in the Sunday School room. Dr. Martin is a son of the late Rev. Henry Martin whose home was in the Whitechurch community. Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laid- law visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Laidlaw of Lucknow. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Des Roches of London visited on the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan. On Sunday Paula Yuchuck and friend of Toronto visited with Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan where she had boarded while in the area planting trees last year. She is now studying to be a lawyer. We are sorry to report that Fiazel Purdon had to return to Wingham Hospital on Wednesday night from the Bray Nursing Horne. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gut- oskie, Michelle and Michael of Kitchener came on the weekend and got the motor home at Bill Rintoul's to go on their holidays. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Daw were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Daw, Tracy and Christopher of Strathroy. On Monday Mr. and Mrs. Daw received word that a baby girl had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Allan Daw of Strathroy making the second great grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Daw'. highway 86. Congratulations to Jeff Thompson and Marian Van- Diepen who were married on Saturday. June 25.
