Trinity Sunday school conducts worship service
The Sunday School Church
service and awards presenta-
tion was held on June 26 at
Trinity United Church.
The responsive call to
worship was led by Donna
Raynard and Nancy Hunter
and the Prayer of Confession
in unison by Scott Hackett, of
Mary Lou Raynard and Sher-
ry Alton's intermediate
class.
The scripture, the story of
Joseph, was read by Diane
Raynard and I Corinthians by
Ken Wilkins.
The kindergarten and pri-
mary classes sang, This
Little Light of Mine. The
primary class recited This
Little Hand of Mine. Teach-
ers of the kindergarten class
are Shirley Hunter and Joan
Helm and the primary teach-
ers are Hazel Hackett and
Suzanne Andrew.
Jamie Alton led the Pray-
ers of the People followed by
the Lord's Prayer.
The primary -junior class
sang, God in Heaven Hears
His Children, under the dir-
ection of their teachers,
Nancy Cameron. Brenda
Hackett and Shirley Scott.
Hannie Scott and Eliza-
beth Wilkins' junior class
took up the collection.
The Liturgy was read by
the senior class who are
taught by Gail Cranston and
Bell Hackett. Sharon Alton
made the announcements.
Guest speaker. Eleanor
Ward of Wingham, spoke
about the Story of Joseph
and how he learned to for-
give his brothers as God
would forgive him.
The catechism awards
were presented to Donna
Ravnard, Nancy Hunter and
Scott Hackett who have
learned the United Church
catechism.

were presented by Elizabeth
Wilkins and Kevin Alton to

Webster family reunion held at Brucefield school
Sunday, June 19th was a
perfect day for the Webster
picnic which was held at
Brucefield School. Eighty-six
people signed the register
hook and renewed friend-
ships.
The southern branch of the
family were in charge of the
picnic. Anson McKinley,
president, gave a warm wel-
come to all attending. Mrs.
Mervin (Jean) Logg gave a
report of the early Websters
and told of her trip to Ireland
in search of more material to
add to her book. While there
she took pictures of interest
and was good enough to
share them with the group,
giving interesting comments
on each.
Watson Webster and his
colleagues of the pipe band
played quite a few pieces
which were greatly enjoyed
by all present.
Becky McKinley tap danc-
ed (nice to be so nimble)
which everyone enjoyed.
Sports were conducted
outside by Anson and Evelyn
McKinley. Winners included ,
pre-school, Daryl Aitchison
and Andrew Jay tied, Hugh
Jay; grade 1, 2 and 3,
Vanessa Alton, Mark Web-
ster, Joan Lee Weber; cloth-
es pin race (couples, Mary
Ellen Webster and Tim Beck-
er, Adella Andrew and Daryl
Aitchison, Vanessa Alton
and Heather Alton, Mark
Webster and Andrew Jay, all
tied for second; 6 and over,
Colin Becker, Becky McKin-
ley; animal game, Mary
Ellen Webster and Joy Beck-
er, Tim Becker and Jolene
Weber, Vanessa Alton and
Dan Webster.
The ladies from the south
served a delicious meal,
smorgasbord style. Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Webster brought a
61st anniversary cake.

presented silver dollars to
the oldest lady, Ada Webst-
er; oldest gentleman, Jack
Webster; coming farthest, E.
Austin from England; young-
est child, Mary Joan And-
