McGugan - Doelman
Lucknow Christian Reformed Church was the setting for the
marriage of Malcolm Edward McGugan and Karen Elisabeth
Doelman on Saturday, May 14, 1983. Rev. Bert Slofstra
officiated. The bride is the daughter of Brian and Alice
Doelman, R. 3 Holyrood and the groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Malcolm McGugan, R. 1, Denfield. Anne Doelman,
sister of the bride, R. 3, Holyrood was maid of honour. Nelia
Van Dam, friend of the bride, London and Mary Dewan,
friend of the bride, Lucan were bridesmaids and Kristin
McMann, niece of the bride, Pierrefonds, Quebec was flower
girl. Frank Schalk, cousin of the groom, R. 1, Denfield, was
best man and guests were ushered by Jack McGugan, brother
of the groom, R. 1, Denfield and Hugh Aerts, friend of the
groom, R. 1, Denfield. Michael Doelman, nephew of the
bride, R. 2, Holyrood was ringbearer. A dinner followed the
ceremony at the Lucknow Legion Hall. The couple honey-
mooned in northern Ontario before taking up residence in
Winnipeg, Manitoba where the groom is employed as a
design engineer for Macdon Industries and the bride is an
accountant for Inter -Ocean Grain Company.

Married at Nile
Henry Van Rooy of R. R. 2 Hensall. son of Mr. and Mrs.
John Van Rooy of Kingsbridge, and Val Matthews,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Matthews of R. R. 3
Auburn, were married by the Reverend R. J. Roberts at
Nile United Church on April .30. Maid of honour was
Phyllis Hickey of London. Bridesmaids were Kendra
Matthews of Nile and Lori Matthews of R. R. 3 Auburn.
Flower girls were Crustal Hickey of Port Albert and Angie
Reaburn of Sundridge. Groomsman was Henry Van Dyke
of Lucknow. Guests were ushered into the church by Roger
Matthews of Nile and Joe Van Root' of Kinloss.
Ringbearers were Mark Hickey of Port Albert and Brian
Reaburn of Sundridge. Following the wedding ceremony,
a reception was held at the Lucknow Community Centre.
After a ,wedding trip to Mt, Poccono, Pennsylvania, Mr.
and Mrs. Van• Root' took residence at R. R. 2 Hensall.
Trinity congregational picnic

side School on Sunday after-
noon with an attendance of
80. Everyone enjoyed a
bountiful picnic lunch.

Living in Chatham
Cerson - Arnold
St. Peter's Anglican Church, Lucknow was the setting for
the marriage of Ernest Grant (Casey) Cerson and Brenda
Lee Arnold on June 4, 1983. Rev. Philip Ruch conducted the
ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Walter and Lorraine
Arnold of Lucknow and the groom's parents are Clarence
and Jean Cerson of Bervie. Debra Arnold was her sister's
maid of honour and bridesmaids were Mary Dickson of
London and Nancy Fisher of Thornhill. Jody Kennedy, niece
of the groom, Oshawa was flower girl. Andrew Magwood of
Hanover was groomsman and Greg Cerson, brother of the
groom, Mississauga and Murray Clark, Kincardine ushered
the guests. A reception followed the ceremony at the
Lucknow District Community Centre. The couple are
residing in Chatham.

into Residential Tenancies
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Commission has been constituted under the Public Inquiries Act with broad
term; of reference. They may be stated briefly as follows:
1. To inquire into all aspects of the current system of rent review under the existing
Residential Tenancies Act.
2. To consider what changes in the law.are desirable or necessary to provide fair
and equitable treatment to landlords and tenants under a system of rent
review.
A brochure has been prepared setting out the Terms of Reference in full and
procedural rules that 11iII be followed in the ronduct of the public hearings that will
be held by the Commission.
