The Grade 8 Graduation
Banquet was held at Brook-
side on Thursday, June 23,
with Donnybrook U.C.W.
catering.
Grace was said by Scott
Hackett followed by Toast to
Flag and Country. Jodie Kerr
said a few words of apprecia-
tion to the ladies for the
bountiful meal.
Piano solos were played by
Heidi Fillmore, Cathy Dow:
and Sheri Smyth.
Mr. Don Cameron intro-
duced the 38 graduates and
presented their diplomas.
Heather Storey introduced
the guest speaker, Mr. Tony
McQuail: who spoke on some
of the challenges facing
young people today. He also
brought greetings and good
wishes from the Huron Coun-
ty Board of Education in his
capacity as a trustee. Marcia
Boak thanked Mr. McQuail.
Several special awards
were presented: Paul Caesar
Memorial Award to Most
Improved Student in Eng-
lish, presented by Joyce Cae-
sar, to Sherry Nixon and
Marty McQuillin; Proficiency
Award, from Dungannon
Women's institute, present-
ed by Mrs. Winnifred Girvin,

tion of Agriculture and Farm-
