The Lucknow Legionnaires came away with $150 when they placed third in the Wingham
BP's invitational Fastball Tournament held on the weekend. The Legionnaires had two wins
and two losses defeating South Zorro and Rostock and losing to Port Elgin and the

A birthday party was held
on Saturday for Mrs. Wallace
Milligan. Present were Mr.
and Mrs. Steve Irwin and
Cody, Lucknow; Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Glover. Sarnia and
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Falconer,
Amy, Tim and Tony.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie
Montgomery were Sunday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Angus Falconer.
Mrs. Relison Falconer and
Lynn Fulkerson of Sarnia
were Saturday visitors with
Cassie Mowbray.
Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laid-
law., spent Saturday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Ducharme of Goderich.
Dr. and Mrs. Ed Carey of
Kitchener also spent the
previous weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Purdon and attended the
wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul
and Mr. and Mrs. Mack
Cardiff of Brussels visited
Father's Day in Kitchener at
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Campbell where Mr.
and Mrs. Oberholtzer and
family and Mr. and Mrs.
Gutoski and family came to
call on them.
Chalmers W.M.S.
Chalmers W.M.S. held
their meeting Wednesday
afternoon at the home of
Mrs. Don Ross with an
attendance of 9.
The call to worship, Today,
was by Mrs. Don Ross. The
meditation was, Frustration.
Mrs. Bill Rintoul led in
prayer. Mrs. Wes Tiffin gave
a reading, Once on Sunday.
The topic was, Develop-
ment is People. The last
chapter in the study book, In
the Wake of the Storm, was
given by Mrs. Lamb. The
birthday tea closed the meet-
ing.
On Sunday Hanover and
Owen Sound played a Double
Header ball game at Owen
Sound. In the afternoon
game the score was 10 - 4 in
favour of Hanover and in the
evening game the score was
7 -5 in favour of Hanover.
Joey Tiffin was the pitcher
for Hanover and he had 15
strike outs.
Mr. and Mrs. John Gaunt
were at Bayfield on Sunday
afternoon to see the Walt
Disney Wagon made to tour
around, drawn by horses.
They say the wagon is some-
thing to see.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Vin-
cent, Patrick, Angela and
Aaron of Riverview, N.B. are
visiting with their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vin-
cent, Belgrave and her folks,
Mr. and Mrs. George Web-
ster, for three weeks va-
cation.

Friends attended from
Hanover, Owen Sound, Tor-
onto, Kitchener. Paisley and
Clinton. Tiffin's Orchestra
provided the music for danc-
ing and the Women's Insti-
tute served the smorgasbord
lunch.
Fifty yellow roses adorned
the table centre, a gift from
their family.
Murray Gaunt, on behalf
of their friends, wished the
happy couple many more
years, and all sang, Put on
Your Old Gray Bonnett.

A family dinner was held
at the Maitland Restaurant
June 11, and a relative get
together meal was held at the
Turnberry Tavern Sunday,
June 12.
