Attend anniversary open house

Relatives from here at-
tended the Open House and
dinner on Sunday marking
the occasion of Mr. and Mrs.
Al It -win's 50th wedding an-
niversary.
Mrs. Frank Maulden re-
turned home after spending
a week at Fonthill with Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Phillips.
We were all glad to have
Arthur Haldenby and Paddy
Hedley who were patients in
the Wingham Hospital, able
to return home on the week-
end.
Mrs. John Barr and her
sister, Winnifred Percy were
guests at the Jeffray-Lapp
wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bert-
rand of Simcoe were also
guests at the wedding.
Congratulations are ex-
tended to Mr. and Mrs.
Lyman Sutton (former Kin -
lough neighbours) who cele-
brated their Golden Wedding
anniversary at a reception
and dance at the Teeswater
Complex on Friday evening
with Boyd's Orchestra prov-
iding the music. A number
from here attended the "Op -
Win at horse show
Belle Mole of Lucknow
visited with her son, Don
Mole and family of Court -
right. They attended the divi-
sional Appaloosa Club Game
Show in St. Marys. Her
grandson, Donnie won two
firsts and one second and
Shawn won three firsts, one
second and one third.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Al-
ton of Goderich entertained
24 relatives for Bill Porteous'
86th birthday on Sunday.
Guests were present from as
far away as Edmonton, Al-
berta.
Death notice
MESSENGER - On June 12,
1983, Douglas Norris Ayre
Messenger, beloved infant
son of Doug and Noreen,
passed away suddenly at his
home in Scandia, Alberta.
Wee Douglas was the only
grandson of Norris and Glo-
ria Messenger, Lucknow,
Ontario.

don, where he had surgery
