Play closes
The Lucknow Agricultural
Society presented their play
Everybody's Getting Mar-
ried, for their ninth and final
appearance at Kincardine
last week.
Other shows included
Brookside, Lucknow, Ripley,
Belgrave, Teeswater, Aub-
urn, Whitechurch and How -
ick.
A t this final appearance,
President Ian Clarke present-
ed each of the ladies in the
cast, make-up and directors
with a red rose.
Those in the cast included
Sheila Clarke, Ruth Bell,
Gloria Murray, Hazel Hack-
ett, Joan Black, Dale Skillen,
Marilyn Maclntyre, Currie
Colwell, Russel Irvin, Vernon
Hunter, Ian Clarke, Mike
O'Neill, Glen Walden and
Ross Errington. Directors:

The Music Man, Harold Hill arrives in River City, Iowa aboard a train in the opening scene of
the broadwav musical. The Music Man, staged by drama students at F. E. Madill Secondary
May 11, 12 and 13. Charlie Colwell, foreground, right discusses Hill with the salesman on
the train while Hill, far right listens in. Colwell was played by Geoff Fillmore and Hill by Rick
Martin. The salesmen were Liz Palmer, Dean Golley, Murray Coulter and Stephen Kerley.

Junior Farmers plan barbeque
On Monday, April 9 the
West Huron Junior Farmers
opened their meeting with
the minutes of the last
meeting read by secretary,
Annette Curran and the
treasurer, Ruth Ritchie gave
her report.
Business discussed in-
cluded beef barbecue and
dance on Saturday, May 28
at Brindley's Hall in Dun-
gannon; barbecue and dance
- $10 per person, barbeque
$6,50 per person, 12 and
under $5.00 per person, ,
preschoolers free, dance only
$4.00 per person at door,
Meal is from 6 - 8 p.m,
Members also have draw
tickets for sale $1.00 each,
prizes are 1st - $100.00 in
cash, 2nd - $50.00 in cash.
Thanks was expressed to
the members who helped
with the ball diamond and
the clean up of Ashfield park
at the end of the twelfth
concession.
The club Queen is Anne
Alton and King is Mike
Scott. They will be attending
the King and Queen contest
at Pine Ridge Chalet on June
3rd.
The annual banquet and
dance is planned for Nov-
ember 26 at Lucknow Com-
munity Centre with a variety
show instead of a guest
speaker. Ruth Ritchie is the
chairperson.
Two community better-
ment projects include a don-
ation of $50 for T-shirts for
the Brookside Girls Softball

The Rose Bowl award this
month was given to Sharon
Alton for her work on the
formal.

on the President Workshop
in London which he attended
on April 23 and 24.
