Auxiliary for winter sport
reports successful year
The Lucknow Ladies Aux-
iliary for Winter Sports re-
port another successful sea-
son, operating the fond booth
in the arena with a profit of
$4600.00.
In January 1982 the major
project was installation of
plexiglass surrounding the
ice surface at a cost of over
$6,000.00. Other major ex-
penses over the past two
years have been practice
vests, medical kits, a heater
for the timekeepers box, a
freezer, linoleum in the
booth, and materials for stor-
age roots with AI Hamilton
donating the labour.
Every year the auxiliary
donates crests or pins to each
player participating in the
flea tournament and they
donate money to each minor
hockey team and the figure
skating club to use for the
benefit of all participants.
All these activities would
not have been possible with-
out the help of willing volun-
teers and the assistance of
Bruce MacKenzie, who kept
the pop machine operating
smoothly.
