Attend Presbytery meeting

of the Ashfield Presbyterian
Church were in Teeswater,
Monday, May 9 to attend the
annual meeting of the Mait-
land Presbyterian Society at
the Knox Presbyterian
Church.
James Webster of Water-
loo, son of Wellington and
Kae Webster, was home on
the weekend with his par-
ents.
Visiting on the weekend
with Finlay and Margie Mac-
Donald were Kathy Robson
and son, Ryan of Grosse
Point, Michigan and Sarah
Blue of Detroit, Michigan.
Wellington, Kae and Jim
Webster were in Goderich on
Sunday and took Norma
Young out to dinner to the
Candlelight Tavern.
Adam Charles, infant son
of Larry and Janet Wilkins
and grandson of Charles and
Mayme Wilkins, was baptiz-
ed on Sunday at the Trinity
United Church. The families
of both Larry and Janet were
present, and all went to their
home after the baptismal to
enjoy a luncheon.
Charles and Mayme Wilk-
ins visited the Websters
when Jim was home on the
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Allan Mac-
Lean and their granddaugh-
ter, Heather Kells of Colling-
wood visited on Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Ewan Mac-
Lean.
Mr. and Mrs. Ewan Mac-
Lean were visiting recently in
Sarnia and Wyoming with
relatives there.
Edna Culbert accompanied
Cliff and Ivy Hartman to
London and while there, they
visited with friends and
relatives.
Elmer and Edna Culbert
were in London recently at
the Home Show.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mc -
Charles of Kincardine had
Mr. and Mrs. John McChar-
les and Ryan of Petrolia call
on them.
Ball park construction continues
Construction on the new
ball park, which is being
supervised by the Lucknow
Kinsmen, has been held up
by the wet weather. Huron
Landscaping Ltd. of Lucknow
was the successful bidder for
the landscaping tender. Bob
Symes hopes tohave the
construction phase complet-
ed within a week. Tenders
have been sent out on the
fencing section as well.
A new slate of officers was
voted in for 1983-84 at the
club's May 4 meeting held at
Kwan's Restaurant. Grant
Helm will be the incoming
president with Ron Crich as
past president; Jim Pentland
as first vice, Tim Martin as
second vice, Dave Button as
secretary, Doug Aitchison as
treasurer, Phil Jerome as
registrar and Jamie Elliott,
Koen Van Dijk and Tom
Andrew as directors. Greg
Blake and Evans Helm will
share bulletin editor chores.
All plans are set for Kin
Summerfest '83 to be held
June 17, 18, 19. Activities
include a 32 team slo pitch
tournament and a Saturday
night dance to the Moran
Erothers.
Guests enjoy CGIT tea party

Kim Laidlaw of White-
church attended the CGIT
tea party last week, when the
girls entertained their moth-
ers, secret prayer mothers
and adopted grandmothers.
Kim's guests were her moth-
er. Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw and
her secret prayer mother,
Mrs. Millan Moore. Her
adopted grandmother, Valet-
ta Emerson was unable to at-
tend, but sent a thank you
note which Kim read during
the party.
Fred Tiffin assisted by
Wilford Clipperton is build-
ing a tool shed at Langside
Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw
and Kim were in Kitchener
and London on Wednesday.
On Thursday Mr. and Mrs.
13i11 Uuldriks arrived home
from their visit to Windsor
from Monday to Thursday.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs.
John de Boer visited with his
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Dick
de Boer and family of Blue -
vale.
Bob Jamieson of Listowel
spent the weekend with his
sister, Mrs. Jim de Boer, Mr.
de Boer and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mc-
Clenaghan attended a 50th
wedding anniversary on Sat-
urday in London at Mr. and
Mrs. Randy Smith's home
for Mr. and Mrs. Mack
Stewart of Kitchener.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss
of Plattsville spent the week-
end with Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan and Mary Mc-
Clenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Keller
and Amy visited on Sunday
with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Whytock, Luck -
now.
Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Kirk Beecroft on
the arrival of a baby boy,
Jonathan Kirk, on Tuesday,
May 10 in Exeter Hospital, a
brother for Angela, Jennifer

Scholtz of Goderich attended
the funeral on Monday of
Carman Scholtz at Blyth.

on Tuesday evening at the
Kairshea hall in honour of
Karen Doelman.
Gladys Johnston chaired
the program which opened
with a sing song with Wilma
Clarke at the piano. Bunny
Stewart gave a contest,
Length of String Grame. A
i eading, Bride and Groom,
was given by Ruth BUchme-
ier,
A Gum Drop game was led
by Eva Burt. A Flower
contest was conducted by
Gladys Johnston.
The address was read by
Shirley Downey.
