Stocker sale On Monday, May 2, 456 head of cattle were sold at the Lucknow Community Sale stocker sale. Noah Stutiman sold 4 steers averaging 940 lbs. to Evan Keith for 83.25. Eleven steers averaging 625 lbs., consigned by John Howard, were sold to How- ard Culbert for 94c, Another 4 steers, owned by Noah Stuttman, averag- ing 495 lbs. were purchased by Jim Coultes for 98c. Bert Moss consigned 16 heifers, averaging 720 lbs., sold for 87.75, to Stewart Lane. Four heifers were sold by John Farrish to Jitim Mc - Ewan. The discussion brought out much of the frustration in dealing with a problem such as sexual abuse that is not easily proven, especially if it is denied and must come to a court case. Cargin explained than a very small percentage of the agency's cases get to the court stage. The goal of the agency is to work with the family, helping them to deal with their guilt and fear with intensive therapy. "When we are able to work with families in the early stages of the problem we can be much more effective," he said. Cargin informed the group that a new resource will be soon available from his agency. A lendinglibrary available to proessionals and interested members of the community will be available in September. The books will he on topics to help readers be better in- formed on the problem and solutions to child abuse.
