On Monday, April 18, four
of the Kinettes went to a
Simple Home Repair Course
held at the township hall in
Holmesville. They learned
interesting facts on how to
repair minor plumbing and
electrical disorders in the
home. The girls came home
with ideas to share with the
rest of the club.
On Wednesday, April 20,
the Kinettes attended a Zone
Conference held in St.

Nancy Cameron, Brent and
Adam recently, were Nan-
cy's grandmother Mrs. Myr-
tle Moore, Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Shelley, Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Shelley and
family of Mitchell; Mr. and
Mrs. Don Reid, and Veronica
of Kitchener; Mr. and Mrs.
Vincent Romano and family
of New Hamburg. The `occa-
sion was Brent's fourth birth-
day.
Don and Joyce Reid and
Veronica stayed with Jack
and Nancy Cameron and
boys this past weekend, to
attend the Reid Colwell
wedding reception, on Satur-
day night.
The Trinity Youth Group
went to the Kincardine
Swimming Pool on Sunday
evening and later met at the
home of Charlie and Mayme
Wilkins, Elizabeth and Ken-
ny.
Congratulations to Irene
Markham who has just pas-
sed successfully the eight
month clerical secretarial
course at Conestoga College,
Clinton Campus.
Chris Markham has just
completed his first year at
Fanshawe College, where he
took Computer Marketing.
Rev. Arthur Scott has just
received word that the Pres-
bytery representative for the
Ventures In Mission project
for the United Church, will
be coming to the Ashfield -St.
Helens Charge next Monday
night. This is a project that
the United Church across
Canada is participating in for
the next two years.

and Mrs. Ken Reid who were
married on Saturday at South
Kinloss Presbyterian
Church.
Marilynne and Margaret
Maclntyre have finished
their school year in Hamilton
and are now at home. Marg-
aret has her exams to write in
May.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mac-
lntyre and family attended
the dedication of Danielle
Bannerman in the Pentecost-
al Church at Kincardine on
Sunday. Danielle is the son
of Janet and Donnie Banner-
man.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs,
Dick McQuillan, Ron and
Jack were Linda McQuillin of
Willowdale, Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon McQuillin of Sarnia,
Mrs. Hicks of Kincardine
and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Mac-
Leod of Vanastra.
Agnes Thomson was a
dinner guest with Mr. and
Mrs. Dick McQuillan, Jack
and Ron.
Mrs. ira Dickie and Mrs.
Harry Lavis were delegates
to the Synodical Society of
Hamilton and London
W.M.S. held in St. Andrews
Presbyterian Church in Ow-
en Sound on Tuesday and
Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Need-
ham have returned home
after spending the past six
months in the south.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Acker-
man of Winnipeg are visiting
with her sister, Mr. and Mrs.
William Dickie and Karissa.
St. Augustine CWL
The April meeting of St.
Augustine CWL was held in
the church rectory on Mon-
day, April 18. The meeting
opened with prayer led by
Marg Glavin, followed by a
scripture reading by Leona
Hickey.
Reports pertaining to their
perspective duties were giv-
en by Cathy Beyersbergen,
Maria Theony, and Nancy
Stapleton. Marg Glavin ex-
pressed her thanks to Ella
Redmond for the work with
the elections of the league
executive.
The new executive is as
follows: president, Leona
Hickey; first vice, Nancy
Stapleton; second vice, Erma
O'Connor; third vice, Agnes
Delbergue; secretary, Leona
Boyle; treasurer, Teresa
Hickey.
President Leona Hickey
thanked the out going exe-
cutive for all their hard work
of the past two years.
Father Dentinger spoke
briefly on the Persecution of
Christianity and how it all
affects our lives today. Fath-
er Frank made the announce-
ment that this coming June,
Father Ed Dentinger of St.
Joseph's, Kingsbridge will
celebrate 40 years in the
priesthood.
On the theme of Christian-
ity, Father Frank spoke of a
man who is devoting his time
and efforts for the unborn.
Joe Borowski of Winnipeg is
one man who believes more
should be done to help the
unborn.
Marys, hosted by the St.
Marys Kinette Club. A de-
lightful meal was prepared
and catered by the St. Marys
Kinsmen.
An election was held for
Zone Co-ordinator and Di-
anne Armstrong from the
Goderich Kinettes was elect-
ed.
A raffle was held and
many of the Dungannon Kin-
ettes won prizes. It was an
enjoyable evening for all.
Dungannon 4.H
On April 19 the Dungan-
non 4-H calf club held its
organizational meeting at
Dungannon Agriculture Hall.
Fifteen members answered
the roll call.
The club then chose their
officers for the year, as
follows: president, Perry Van
Osch; vice president, Chris-
tine Stapleton; secretary,
Jeff Feagan; treasurer, Craig
McNeil; press reporters -
Goderich, Judy Walters;
Lucknow, Scott Hackett.
Five new members have
entered the club this year.
The leaders for this year
are dairy, Bob and Glen
McNeil; beef, Ross Eedy and
Ian Hackett. A number of
parents attended the meet-
ing.
