Readings were given Lynda Thacker, Bernice Courtney and Nina McDonald. A soap contest was conducted by Deanna Scott. Joyce Dane favoured with a piano duet. The many Lovely and useful gifts were presented to the bride who was assisted by Karen and Judy Mac- Donald and Anne Seheur- water. The bride thanked everyone and invited them to her trousseau tea. Margaret Bushell of Goderich and her mother, Mrs. Morley Bushell of Wingham spent Good Friday with Mrs. John Barr. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hedley and the girls had Easter dinner with Cathy Hedley of Kitchener on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hamilton and family and Mrs. Gilbert Hamilton of Lurknow, Betty Hamilton of St. Catharines, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Pair and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van de Klippe of Kin- cardine and Murray I3arr from here were pre -Easter visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Mark Barr. Katherine Mohamed and the boys visited during the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Page. Visitors over Easter with Mr. Arthur Haldenby were Loehalsh community express sympathy to Robb farnily By Kae Webster The community would like to send its deepest sympathy to the faintly of the late Wilmer Robb of Wingham. Mr. Robb passed away in the Wingham Hospital. He is survived by his wife, the former Flora Brotchie, one son, Allen at home and one brother, Howard of Point Clark. The Robbs were former residents of the Amberley area before mov- ing to Wingham a number of years ago. The community would like to put nut the welcome mat for Alex ( Sandy) Simpson and his wife, Cindy who have come here from Calgary, Alberta. Alex and Cindy are at present living in the home which is known as the McMurchy homestead and is now owned by Neil and Judy McKenzie. Alex (Sandy) is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Simpson. Welcome to the community. The Clover Valley 4-H Club has now finished their meetings and are now plann- ing their Achievement bay. The leaders of this club are Mayme Wilkins and Donna Arnold. Charles and Mayrne Wilkins and Herb and Marie Wilkins of Ashfield Township were in Sudbury last weekend visiting with Charles and Herb's sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Ken Weaver and Elsie and Jim Oliver. On the return trip home on Sunday, the weather seemed to be in their favour, as they did not run into any of the snow we got around here, Sunday morning. The Wilkins were also visitors at the home of their two nephews who also live in the Sudbury area. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mc - Charles of Kincardine returned home the first of the week after spending two weeks in Arizona. They found the weather there was very nice and the temperature climbed into the middle 80 degrees Fahrenheit the last couple days of their stay. When Mr. and Mrs. McCharles were talking to some of the residents of the state, they found the weather throughout the winter had been cold and they too were also waiting for the warm weather. Mrs. Max (Helen) ttlegi- ing and her son, bean were at Pinetrest Manor in Lucknow Friday evening where they entertained the patients with their guitars. Purple Grove residents attend faster Sunday church services Hope everyone in Purple Grove had a happy Easter weekend. A number of ser- vices were held in local chur- ches for the Good Friday - Easter holiday. Jack and Janet Farrell and Courtney and Susan MacDonald of London were guests on Sunday with Jack and Mary MacDonald. Catherine Scott had dinner Sunday with Elizabeth Nicholson. Gladys Arnold is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jamie McF,wan in Lethbridge and other relatives in North Bat- tleford. Shirley MacDonald and Sandra Forster led the Senior 4-H course "Food for all Seasons" in the Purple Grove Community Centre Thursday morning and even- ing. ROSE -ANNA 'GRAVIS Mrs. Rose -Anna 'Travis of lt.It. 6 Goderich died its Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich on Saturday, March 26 at the age of 68. She was born in Blizzard Valley, Ontario on March 14, 1915 to Stephen and Margaret Amyot@ I Cut- chaw. She was a member of Dungannon Women's Institute. She is survived by her husband, Charles Travis and one sister, Mrs. Harold Florence) hall of Sudbury. A funeral service was held at McCallum Funeral Home in Goderich on Tuesday.
