Walter Elliott acted as superintendent for Mrs. Don Ross for the day. Three new beginners were Kevin Rin- toul, Stuart Rintoul and Ryan Elliott. Sunday school teachers are Mrs. Rod Lamb, Kendra Purdon, Lori Falconer and Cora Blom. Visitors on Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and Karen were Mr, and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw,Michelle and Jason of London, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Elliott, Ryan and Kyle, Mr, and Mrs. Paul Elliott, Jeffery and Leslie oif Brussels and David Elliott, Listowel, Agnes Elliott of Wingham was a Sunday visitor with her son, Walter, Mrs. Elliott and family. .On Good Friday at 8 p.m., joint services were held in the United Church. Rev. R. Grant was in charge of the communion service and stu- dent preacher, Mr. Rod Lamb gave the Easter Message. A large congrega- tion was in attendance. In charge of the services next Sunday at the United Church will be Rev. R. Grant. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Orland Irwin went to the Toronto airport to meet his sister, Louise Conley and take her to Doreen Finlay's where the Irwin family were gathered. Mrs. Hopper from Wingham and Mrs. Burt Hastings also visited with their mother Viola Irwin, at that home. Saturday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Orland Irwin held a gathering of Crowston relatives. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Bud Crowston, Lyt- ton, B.C., Mr. and Mrs. Marlo Crowston and Linda, Kincardine, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Crowston and Mr. and 'Mrs. Kevin Thomas and Dale all of Chatham, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Alton, Anne and Lynn of Ashfield Township, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw, Kim and Janet and Don Nicholson, Clara Crowston and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Irwin and Cody of Lucknow. A birthday party was held on Saturday for Ryan Nicholson at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Jim de Boer, Matthew, Michael and Alicia. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Emer- son, Darlene, Sharon and Brenda of St. Catharines spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson. On Saturday evening, they attended the 35th anniver- sary of Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacDonald and the 40th an- niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Dave MacDonald in the Legion Hall at Lucknow. Mr. and Mrs. "Bud" Crowston of Lytton, B.C. ar- rived last week to visit with his sisters and brother and mother here. The trip was given by their family in bowling Ladies' 6:30 Bowling Fern MacDonald bowled the high single with a 256; Fern MacDonald bowled the high triple with a 644. Weekend guests with Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer were Mr. and Mrs. Ron Nicholson, Erin and Ryan of Strathroy. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Irwin and Cody of Lucknow visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Orland Irwin and family. On Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Relison Falconer visited with his mother, Cassee Mowbray. On Sunday, Brian Falconer and friends visited with Cassie Mowbray. Mr. and Mrs. R. Fulkerson of Sarnia spent the weekend with her grandmother, Cassie Mowbray. After a month's rest, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Shack return- ed the end of March to resume the storekeeping and restaurant business in the village. The Lucknow C.G.I.T. girls are adopting a grand- mother for six weeks. They will visit the grandmother once a week. Kim Laidlaw has adopted Valetta Emer- son and on Thursday evening she came to call on her and brought along her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Crowston of Lytton, B.C. who knew the Emersons as neighbors when they resided at Langside. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ducharme of Goderich visited Thursday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw, Michelle and Jason of London visited Friday and Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shephard of Forest were Saturday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw. Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Simmons of London were callers on Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw and Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Durnin. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Rin- toul and baby, Sara Speiran visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rintoul, Kevin and Corey where Mr. and Mrs. Brad Speiran of Brussels also visited and Sara returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mc- Clenaghan visited Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mc- Clenaghan and his mother, Mary McClenaghan.
