Bertha May (Conk j Holland
Bertha Holland passed
away in Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital, God-
erlch March 21, 1983 after a
lengthy illness, in her 75th
year, She was the beloved
wife of the late Bruce Hol-
land, clear mother of Wesley,
dear sister of Peter Cook of
Lucknow, and the late Susan,
Mrs, Jack McGee, Sadie,
Mrs, George Hackett, and
Thomas Cook, She was the
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs, Peter Cook of Ashfield,
She is survived by two grand-
children, Valarle cif Toronto
and Rick of Clinton, and two
great grandchildren.
She was born in Ashfield
Township where they lived
before moving to the Clinton
area. They moved to Van-
couver where her husband
Bruce passed away in 1975.
She returned and lived in
Goderich. She was a member
of Wesley Willis United
Church in Clinton.
Bertha has many friends
and will long he remembered
for her kindness to them.
The funeral took place at
Stiles Funeral Home, God-
ericht interment will be in
Clinton Cemetery,
Mearle Robert Middleton
Mearle Robert Middleton
of Burlington died suddenly
at the Joseph Brant Memor-
ial Hospital, Burlington on
Friday, March 11, 1983 in his
66th year.
He is the son of the late
Mr, and Mrs, Russell Mid-
dleton of the fourth conces-
sion, Kinloss Township.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Florence lronside,
one son, Robert S. Middleton
of Timmins and one daugh-
ter, Carol Ann, Mrs. Al
Williams of Palgrave, Ont-
ario, He is also survived by
four grandchildren, Heather,
Douglas, Christopher and
Melanie and one brother,
George of Toronto.
The funeral was conducted
from Smith's Funeral Horne,
485 Brant St„ Burlington on
Tuesday, March 15, 1983 at
1.10 p.m, by Reverend Jam-
es Weir.
Burial followed in Green-
wood Cemetery, Burlington.
