The Lucknow PeeWees hosted an exhibition game Thursday against the PeeWee team from
St. Lambert, Quebec who were In Goderich attending the Young Canada Hockey Week
Iwnsament. ciosely matched, the two teams batded to an 8.7 decision in favour of Quebec.

Kintail leads Lucknow
The Kintail Flyers have
taken a two game to one lead
over the Lucknow Chiefs in
the Lucknow Industrial Lea-
gue final.
After winning the first
game 7.4, they dropped the
second game by a 6 - 2 score
but bounced back winning
the third game by a 6 - 0
score.
Fourth game in the best of
five final will be played
March 31 at 8:15 with the
fifth game, if necessary,
being played on April 3.
The Chiefs, as league
champions, had a bye to the
final while the Flyers have
advanced by eliminating Rip-
ley and Holyrood. Lucknow
are the defending champions
having won the 81-82 play-
offs.
Home from trip to Ottawas

with her son, Dr. Archie

Londesborough spent a few
days visiting with their
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Lyons.
Lee -Ann Creighton and
Cherie Nixon of Ashfield
Township spent part of their
winter break vacation visit-
ing with Lee -Ann's relatives
in London.
Get well wishes are ex-
tended to Laura McNeil
(former St. Helens resident)
and to Isabel Gaunt who are
hospitalized at Wingham and
District Hospital.

team from Acton. They won

Holiday at
Palm Springs
Mrs. Cam Thompson of
Lucknow and Mrs. Ron Roth-
well of Norwood returned
home last week from a three
week holiday with their sis-
ter, Mrs. Al Martin of Long
Beach, California, a week of
which they spent at ' Palm
Springs. They also visited at
Chula Vista with Mr. and
Mrs. Malcolm Watson.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thomp-
son and daughter, Anne of
Windsor, visited last week
with Bob's sister, Helen
Thompson of Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Nugent,
Scott and Kelly of St. Thom-
a§ spent Saturday at the
home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Humphrey, Luck -
now.
Bill Humphrey broke his
leg on Wednesday after
returning to work for just one
week. Bill had broken his
other leg on December 7. Bill
is an employee of Hamilton
Fuels and Cliff Mann Plumb-
ing.
Ken, Lisa and Michelle
Barger of Toronto visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Barger Sr., Lucknow and also
visited with the rest of the
family.
