novice dance championship
at the Canadian Figure Skat-
ing championships in Mont-
real. Mark Moore also com-
peted and placed seventh in

Ohio snowmobilers
enjoy sport at Lochalsh

Wellington and Kae Web-
ster hosted snowmobilers
from Richfield, Ohio recent-
ly. Those in the Webster
household were Cecil Web-
ster and Jim Webster, home
from Waterloo for the week-
end and Atlee Wise and
Jeneane LeHoty of Richfield,
Ohio. On Tuesday they took a
drive up the Bruce Penin-
sula. It is Ironic to sav that at
the same time they were
here, it was snowing and
blowing in Richfield, so it
was reported by Jean Wise.
The folks left Wednesday
afternoon for home but are
hoping to get hack a couple
of more times before our
snow goes for this season.
Congratulations to Mr,
and Mrs. Gordon Robb on
the arrival of a new grand-
daughter. Heather Nicole,
horn February 5th at the
Hanover District Hospital.
The proud parents are Rob-
ert and Sandra Darling of
Hanover. Heather Nicole is
their first child and weighed
in at seven pounds, seven
ounces.

The meeting was chaired

She gave a poem, Think, and
a reading, The definition of a
Canadian.
The roll call, a project
dedicated to the concept of
International Understanding
through Education, was an-
swered by 13. The secretary,
Norma Falconer, read the
minutes which were approv-
ed.
Miss Merle Wilson gave a
discussion on the United Na-
tions Planting Program, And
for every child there will be a
tree.
The motto, What it means
to be a citizen, was also given,
by Miss Wilson and a
reading, Building a Nation,
as well as the topic, The
College of the Pacific.
Musical numbers, You are
my sunshine, and My Bonnie
Lies over the Ocean, were
given by Mrs. Dan Tiffin,
Mae Johnston and Mary
Hehn, accompanying on
guitar. Miss Wilson gave a
reading, Newfoundland.
