Home for Christmas Mr. Nelson Winterstein of Cozy Cottage was able to enjoy Christmas Day with his daughter, Ruth and John Pritchard. Also spending the holiday weekend at the same home were their daughter, Gail and Darryl Abrams of Barrhead, Alberta and sons, Eugene and Carolyn and family of Claremont, Rick and Donna and family of Whitby; John and Marilyn and family of Crediton; and Ted and Vicky and family of Goderich. Gail and Darryl enjoyed renewing acquaintances and visiting with friends and relatives at a reception held for them. As well as many from the local area, friends attended from Owen Sound, Ripley, Bervie, Amberley, Clinton, Wingham, Strat- ford, Seaforth, Whitechurch, Mount Forest, Exeter and Goderich. Russel Proctor, Livonia, Michigan visited with Flied Mint, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Emerson and Gertrude fin, Wingham, Janet Laidlaw of Kitchener spent the weekend with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ivan Laidlaw and Kimberley and was organist for the United Church service on Sunday in the absence of Mrs. Garnet Farrier. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laid- law, Michelle and Jason, London; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Vannus and Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw were recent guests with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ducharme of Goderich. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mos!: of Plattsville visited Thurs- day to Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl McCtenaghan and her mother, Mary McC4enag- han. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mc- Clenaghan spent the week- end with Mr. and Mrs. Ray- mond Des Roches and family of London. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rintoul spent Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Camer- on of Lucknow. Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Sperian and Sara of Brussels visited Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gor- don Rintoul. The flu bugs and common colds are making their rounds in the village. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Stan- ley of Harriston and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stanley of Kinloss spent New Years day with Mr. and Mrs, Ezra Stanley and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley at Christmas time, with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bedford and Ashley of Mississauga, Ont- ario and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Taylor of Bervie. Belle Mole of Lucknow visited in London with her daughter, Marion and family for Christmas and in Court - right during New Years week with her son, Don and his wife, Kay and family. Emerson Howald of Ed- monton, Alberta was home for two weeks over the Christmas holidays with his mother, Ida Howald. Mrs. Howald received phone calls from the rest of the family out west. to not meet up with these germs, hence a small news report.
