of West Wawanosh and Gordon Brindley
was acclaimed deputy -reeve. Kathryn Todd,
Joseph Hickey and Bruce Raynard were
elected to council. in Ashfield John Austin
was acclaimed reeve and Allan Gibson was
elected deputy -reeve. Grant Fairish, Grant
Curran and William F. Andrew were elected
to council. Tony McQuail was elected trustee
to sit on the Huron County Board of
Education.
Wingham and District Hospital received
an increase of nearly 5200,000 in its
operating budget for the current year but did
not receive supplementary funding in the
previous fiscal year to offset a S146,700
deficit. The deficit in the previous year will
have to be made up by dipping into the
hospital's capital reserves. The additional
funding in this fiscal year should enable the
hospital too avoid another deficit this year,

the Bruce Board of Education.
Friends and neighbours of Wavme Rhody

Marian Zinn was honoured by the staff
and students of Brookside Public School at
their Christmas assembly, in recognition of
her dedicated work on the school's behalf
with the Huron County Board of Education.
