Pork and beer will team naturally together on your dinner
table in this delicious combination of pork chops smothered in
a simmering sauce of onions, mushrooms and beer that is just
as right for entertaining as it is for a weekday treat.
The satisfying scent flowing from your kitchen will surely
tempteveryone to the table. The delicious creamy sauce is the
highlight of this dish and long grain and wild rice absorbs it
nicely. Serve with a crunchy green salad, glasses of ice told
beer and your dinner is complete.
Beer simmered pork chops
margarine
4 center cup pork chops
11/2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can (3 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup of beer
2 tablespoons ,packaged onion soup mix
1 package long grain and wild rice
In skillet with margarine, brown pork chops on both sides.
Lower heat and add cream of mushroom soup, sliced
mushrooms, beer and onion soup mix. Blend ingredients and
allow chops and sauce to simmer, covered, over low heat
approximately 50 minutes. Cook rice as directed on package.
Serve -pork chops. and sauce over the • rice: Yield 2 to 4
persons.
