SPORTS
A very inspiring game was
played by the Mustangs on
December 7, 1978. It was a
game in which Madill came
out to courageously take on
the top team in the league,
Stratford.
For the first three quarters
of the game the boys stuck
right in there against an
evidently stronger team. But
bench strength , let the
"Rams" pull away from the
Mustangs. Out of the eighty-
six points, their bench got
thirty of them.
For. Tom Henderson, this
was his best game of the
season. However, due to cir-
cumstances beyond our con-
trol, Tom was fouled out in
the first part of the third
quarter with a total nine of
the thirty-six points, to his
credit.
The score for this game
was not indicative of the
game. The Stratford team
sunk countless twenty foot
shots. Our boys are not quite
used to that kind, of shooting.
The experience gained ilk
this game will be invaluable

JR. BOYS' BASKETBALL
DECEMBER 7
On December 7, our Jr.
Boys' Basketball team came
up against a strong Stratford
Central squad. The first half
was fast-moving and disap-
pointing for the Mustangs.
They played good defence
but it wasn't enough to stop
the sharp, offensive attack of
Stratford Central. in the
second half, Madill changed
their strategy switching to a
full court press. This momen-
tarily stopped the Rams but
again, their offence destroy-
ed the Mustang defence. Our
baskets were few and far
between, as Central over-
powered us, 85 - 36.
